I was looking for some cheap spare axle shafts. Local junkyards are picked clean... Quick research says the 1992-1998 ZJ Dana 30 axles will work in the TJ Dana 30. Anyone know if this is true? Looks like I can get a brand new PAIR of axles for $110 online, so much cheaper than stock TJ Dana 30 axles around here. being as these are really just for a trail fix, I'm not really concerned with the shafts being weaker than the U-joint ones. Ideally they'll just sit in the back of the jeep and never get used lol.

I don't have an answer and I'm too lazy to check but maybe you could find out by selecting axle shafts for both at Rock Auto and see if they match.
Until you figure that out; another option is to have an assembled hub assembly and 30/44 outer stub shaft.
At the least, it might help get it off the trail.
