Every time I drive the area East of the Bighorns I’m amazed at the number of antelope I come across. It helps that you can see forever in that area. Easier to count trees that antelope.

It’s always amazing to see all the Antelope and Mule Deer running around here all the time.

It makes driving at night incredibly dangerous I’ve found. The amount of road kill this time of year is staggering. I think I’m going to need to invest in some much brighter headlights.

When I lived in Wi we always had our butchering equipment at the ready because you never knew when you were going to take down a deer with your 27 million grain projectile of a car. Most county sheriffs have deer tags which allow you to salvage your’s or someone’s else's road kill. Wi encourages salvaging the animals rather that spend the millions of $ to dispose of them. The down side is that it always seemed to happen at 1am and you end up with a lot of sausage.
Not sure with antelope but with deer you learn how to spot their eye refection to avoid then. Remember when you see one there’s more close by.

Now that the days are getting longer we're starting to get the epic sunsets again. Took this one last night from the front yard.

It's been obvious to me since we moved here that the veil between Heaven and Earth is just a little bit thinner in this place.
