When I lived in Wi we always had our butchering equipment at the ready because you never knew when you were going to take down a deer with your 27 million grain projectile of a car. Most county sheriffs have deer tags which allow you to salvage your’s or someone’s else's road kill. Wi encourages salvaging the animals rather that spend the millions of $ to dispose of them. The down side is that it always seemed to happen at 1am and you end up with a lot of sausage.
Not sure with antelope but with deer you learn how to spot their eye refection to avoid then. Remember when you see one there’s more close by.
