Stole this from a Leslie Nielsen scene 🤗

I use a combination pistol lock box which is large enough for me to fit my Sig Sauer P228 or 229 9mm. The lock box is attached to a steel cable which I wrap around the passenger seat base. When I go into a store or any other place I have enough room to put the lock into the center console. I can close and lock that while keeping the cable difficult to see from the out side. I don't have a CCW but carrying a fire arm in you car is allowed in New Mexico. I know the steel cable could be cut but I'm not away from it long enough for that. If I'm going to park the Jeep for hours, I don't have the gun with me. Not a perfect setup but it's ok most of the time. Better armed than not.

Those lock boxes can be defeated in seconds often with just a screwdriver. My son lost a gun (had it stolen) while building maintenance was in the apartment. The gun was in a lock box locked to his bed.

As
I hope this isn’t a politically incorrect post.

I have a CCW. I need to figure out a way to secure my pistol when I go into an establishment that doesn’t allow them such as a bar. In my YJ I have a lock box that fits nice and secure with easy access in the center console. The YJ console is too small for anything. It should be big enough to hold a 1911 or equivalent.
I use a combination of Tuffy or this(pic)holster goes from car to my belt when I get out.

In general I do the same. I open carry, and except under unusual circumstances, (a movie that I REALLY want to see on the big screen, my Dr.s office, government offices), I figure that any place that doesn't want my gun doesn't need my money.

During the chinaflu experiment I changed many habits. Places I used to frequent, I no longer do because at one time they determined they knew what was best for me and thought they could control how I think. Also made other friends who felt that I was free to choose what I do in my life.

Yeah but that's generally California, federal buildings, courthouses, airports and schools.

Can't even begin to tell you the last time I have been to any of these places...has to be nearly 40 years ago for courts and government buildings. I do fly once every 5 years or so. I don't even go to my kids school.

You must have good kids! The amount of times I forced my parents into the school for meetings with the principal.....

How does one end up in two gunfights.
I would be rethinking my life choices (if that was me). ;)

People are crazy man. Someone pulled a gun on me for honking at them after they crossed 3 lanes and almost hit me

Sometimes it's just bad luck. I went to a campground/offroad park once and was in the middle of a locals vs city boys shootout and demolition derby that went on for over an hour. Then got rousted by swat 4 hrs later at gunpoint in the early morning when the dicks finally showed up.

Wheeled the next day and made sure to go to a different camp ground where some drunk guy was having a shootout with "ghosts". I was so tired from the night before I didn't give a shit about him or casper
