How to remove seats from base / track & PRP factory visit

I live close to the PRP seat factory. I went to their showroom and sat in all the seats, ended up walking out with an Enduro Trek. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

My only issue is the instructions are black and white and blurry.

I’m trying to figure out how to remove the seats from the base. All the YouTube videos are not helpful because they show people only removing the entire base.

If anyone can suggest photos or videos? Thanks!

Once you get the stock seats out and flipped over, you will see the 4 nuts that hold the seat to the base. It will be VERY obvious. I threw the PRP instructions away. You will need the seat brackets and a 1/4" spacer to move the seat to the center to keep the recline handle off the door panel.

For reference, I did my install in about an hour for both seats.

thanks, helpful. so, I have to take the bases out of the jeep, I can't do the job with bases still in jeep? Also, I got their bracket kit, do you think it includes the spacer?

You absolutely have to take the base out of the Jeep to get the OEM seats off and put the PRP ones on. No, the bracket kit doesn't include the spacer. The seats work without the spacer, but will hit the roll bar at the bottom and side of the seat. You won't be able to use the recline handle with the doors closed without spacing the seats over at least 1/4".

You absolutely have to take the base out of the Jeep to get the OEM seats off and put the PRP ones on. No, the bracket kit doesn't include the spacer. Any tips for loosening the bolts that hold the base to the frame of the jeep? Such an awkward tight spot for getting any leverage.

The rear 2 are the hardest. Spray the them with rust penetration from the underside of the tub. Remove the front 2 first then tumble the seat forward and do the rear.

Thanks. What size exactly are the bolts if you know? I have a 13mm wrench that sort of fits but I feel like it isn't the precise size.

Can't recall. One is a torx bolt.

Came across this forum and man those are the exact same colors I want for my TJ . what are all the colors you picked out ? my interior is dark slate grey so I just thought when I do seats why not match the interior then it'll all flow together.

Are you just talking like a piece of flat stock or do you have pictures of what you did? I went back and looked when you installed your seats but I'm not seeing if you posted any pictures of it. Thanks

I just used longer grade 8 bolts and put a nut between the PRP bracket and the PRP seat bolt tab to space it over. I did that on all 4 bolts for each seat.
