I like 'em, especially when they're on something that you would think someone would take care of (like a Jag, or something). It's the only wrap I would even consider...
I'd completely forgotten about the clear wraps that folks use on the front ends to protect the paint from rock chips, and such. I can see doing that. As for the rusty hood wrap, it would be a fairly inexpensive thing to have some fun with, and then when the novelty wears off, just remove it.I did the "clear bra" on a couple new car purchases 10'Golf and 17'GolfAlltrack. It really does keep the car looking nice years later, we put 25k-30k per year on the commuter car. Because I had such great results from the clear bra, http://www.xpel.com/xpel-ultimate-plus-paint-protection-film/, I would consider a wrap. Those rusty graphics are sick! I agree, that would be a cool wrap. I am thinking about wrapping the hood only with the rusty look. Thoughts?
Now, this wrap job is wow! Even the transmission props looks real. This one looks very realistic...wow!! even has the fake flat tires too

That looks great! Wouldn't it have been cheaper to wrap the golf cart to match the TJ, though?Been out a while and just saw this thread. I wrapped (and other mods) my 2000 tj and went from dark green to bright metallic silver to match my golf cart. The jeep stays at the beach so the only off roading I do is on the beach so not worried about tree limbs, rocks, etc tearing the wrap. If it does, you can replace only that section. It was worth it to me as it was a fraction of the cost of even a cheap spray job. Here's some pics. View attachment 41730

That really looks great. What did you do to the inside of the wheel wells?
It really does look sharp. I will have to admit that results like that could possibly change my mind about wraps...Dang it! Why didn't I think of that before?!

That looks so good! Can you tell it's a wrap within 3 feet?
If you squint
