Brandon's Arles Blue TJ

Deposit made and scheduled to drop off on the 2nd for axle build out. This one's going to hurt, but once this is behind me everything else won't feel too expensive! I've got to get it done so I can stop thinking about it.

It's further up into the thread, but it will be 4.56's, ARB's front and rear, chromoly shafts front and rear, and ARB twin with onboard air. After some deliberation I chose the Dana Spicer nodular diff covers. For some reason I really like the way they look, they have a drain, and they were priced better than some of my other choices.

Hoping to hit some trails in the Naches area in July... Weekend camping trip I hope or during the week depending on peoples schedules...

Need to get my body lift on bad! When the sway bar is disconnected and the tires are stuffed they rub the fender lip pretty bad. Then have to get some 4" springs so I can jump up to 35's.

Got my Auxbeam wrapped up and one of my two USB outlets. Decided I didn't want to run both off of the original cigarette lighter so I'm going to get another fuse jumper and tap into a different switched power fuse. Wires are run, just need the jumper then I'll be set. Not sure what to do with the other 29mm slots. Maybe just plug them for now, I don't have a real desire to have anything else there.

It's a never ending story.... You'll like having the body lift once you get it done.

It's been sitting in the box in the house since January 🤦🏻‍♂️ My wife gets out of school soon and I'll have a little more free time on days off to do projects.

What's the ETA for the new gears? Only takes a few hours to do the body lift... Now that I said that it'll take forever...

Dropping it off the morning of the 2nd at Auburn Off-road. John said should be good to pick it up no later than that Friday.

Yea, I've just got to do it. It's a task that I'm afraid to start when my 3 year old is napping because I don't want to have to run inside if he wakes up and not be able to finish it the same day I start it.

Just a few pictures from playing in the woods the other day. It really is amazing what a difference just disconnecting the sway bar can do. The tire is just getting into the lip of the flare. I don't normally have weekends off but I'm going to have the weekend off after I get my axles done so may have to get out with the family to have some fun. Forgot to get a picture when we were on the beach while the Jeep anchored down the Buzz Lightyear kite!

Didn't plan on this today. Got distracted in the garage this morning and decided to disassemble my used SwayLoc to clean it up and get prepped for when I get around to it. That turned into me deciding it wouldn't take very long and just went with it. So far only about 10 road miles on it but hit a few bumps and dips that I'm familiar with and I could already feel a difference. Excited to get it on some trails and have the ease of "disconnecting."

I wasn't sure that my bumper would clear, but turns out it's not even close. Also decided to keep the factory sway bar cover on until I get a new bumper and winch. That space is pretty ugly with nothing there.

That said, @Wildman if you're interested in the JKS discos you've got first dibs, just let me know.

Cool SwayLoc is nice.

Yes I'll take the disco's for my daughters TJ.
I might actually get to work on it this summer.

Got the rest of the little bits and tools ordered that I need for the SYE. Minus some fluid which I'll pick up Friday.

SYE is a bigger job than the BL! Good luck and have fun. Coming along nicely!

I've done a SYE with the t-case under the rig (my TJ) and one with the t-case out of the rig (my son's XJ) and I'd deal with the 6 bolts & disconnecting the shifter to have the t-case on a bench than laying on my back under a rig.

Pick your poison...

Yea, I just have a bigger work window Saturday so I'm going for the bigger job. Starting next week my wife will be off work for the summer so I can have some help with the toddler while I'm working underneath the Jeep.

Trying to decide if I want to pull the TC or leave it in place. I think if I put it on ramps or stands I can get where I can sit underneath and then I don't have to try and handle it by myself to get it out and back in? I'm torn. There's opinions on both sides.
