What did you do to / in your garage / shop today?

“Finished” the roof yesterday!

Next, finishing the corners, put in that last wall and the doors.
The most important part is that we can work in the shade this summer.

Yellow tape is because people kept head budding the steel beam that is on eyes height 😅😂

A two post lift for service and a personal fork truck to check "flex"...the wet dream of many members here... :D

We bought the building last year, my father in law and me.

My furniture workshop is in the back and his winery in the front with his architecture company on top of that.

With our love of 4x4 we “needed” this.

He need it a bit more than me as he is a Landrover maniac. Has 4 defenders, 2 Range Rover classic, Shit is keep breaking down 😂

But the main reason is the dune buggy’s we do the desert rally’s with.

Finally was able to find a matching mid-chest for an acceptable price ($220/shipped). I needed more room for my hand wrenches mainly, they were all stuffed into a single drawer in the top-chest, now they're spread among two.

I’m trailering my Kubota tractor up to Idaho this Sun to help my buddy do the finish grading at his new home. I needed a good way to secure it in the front. I had some 1/4” plate laying around the shop along with some D-rings. The welds aren’t pretty but solid. They’ll get bolted to the frame in the factory holes tomorrow once the paint drys.
The Wife laughs at me for all the “Junk” I have around my shop but those Come in Handy’s mean one less trip to the Hardware store or steel supplier.

Edit: Added installation pic.

Is that an offset smoker I se behind the mower?

Fire box underneath and 2 pipes to take the smoke and heat to the top. Both top and bottom are 24" stainless steel.

I can smoke 70 pounds on it at a time.

The top picture shows the water holder/dripping catcher, bottom picture is the fire box.

I really need to do this.

Freaking Boston Butts have gone through the roof, I'm guessing looking towards the 4th of July.

I can usually grab them for about $1.99 pretty often...now Tri-tip if they can be found are often $10.99. Although last month Wildfork was clearing some out at $2.25..bought 3 to probably grind into burgers with some sirloin, chuck and brisket.

We usually pick them up for around $1.59 on sale.

Made a grinder stand to deburr & round off edges. Not my design, I got it from Tom Tom's shop. They sell fast, but he's always making more. I plan on bolting to a bench & wiring it to a switch.

I bought one too but haven’t put it together yet.

Looks like a Dewalt grinder. Which model did you use? I was looking at getting the DWE4011 and wiring in a switch too.
