When I bought my Jeep it had LED brake lights installed. The hazards would hyper flash but I hardly ever use them.
Yesterday I had to use the hazards for awhile. My own stupidity not the Jeeps fault but that’s another story.
After that fiasco I found that my blinkers were no longer working and the brake lights don’t work now either.
I checked all the glove box fuses and none were blown.
I pulled the flasher and it looks okay to me but the internals were burning hot.
I expected to find a non LED flasher but found one that’s says it is for LEDS.

I am thinking of replacing the flasher with an EP27 which I believe is the right one.
Could I check anything else?
Thanks!

The one I pulled out is a 5 pin. I thought the 01-06 needed a 5 pin?

I don't know the pin count on my 05, but I used the one in that link I posted above and it works fine in my 05. Read the reviews, you'll see other people saying they used it and it worked just fine in their 06 TJ.

Either way, that's the same one I bought and it works for me.

Use the led ep26 4 pin. My hazards would blow the fuse and my turn signals would click 3 or 4 times after the lever reset to burn off the extra voltage. Installed the ep26 after 4 different led flashers and everything works perfect now.

Thanks good to know. Hence the four pin on Amazon that @Chris suggested.

Well I put the flasher relay back and everything is back to normal. Blinkers and brake lights work. The hazards are back to hyper flashing.
Still confused on the EP26 4 pin vs EP27 5 pin. I guess of I’ve got a 5 pin that’s not working I should try a 4 pin.

Curious,
EP26 is 4 pin
EP27 is 5 pin
that missing pin sees to be tied to the hazard lights... Chris? do your hazard lights work?

The Novita LM470 is the correct flasher for 01-06 TJs. It can be found at most auto parts stores. It will prevent hyperflash and allow the hazards to work with no key but turn signals will require a key in the ignition, just like stock. The LM470 is 5 pin. The EP26/EP27 can also be used but they won't function the same as stock

So I am finding, I picked up an EP27 that is supposed to be LED capable.
only the back signal lights are LED, blinkers work, but not hazard.
unable to upgrade additional lights

following up on this, I ordered a Novita LM470, and installed it.
Hazard and blinkers seem to be working correctly
