Hello, I’ve tried searching here. Please link it if you’ve found a thread. But I have an OEM hardtop LJ and wanted to buy a soft top to make it easier in the summer months. Has anyone had experience purchasing the LJ soft top from Best Top and know whether it is a clean fit for OEM hardtops? If not does anyone know what other parts are required or other soft tops that do fit the OEM Hard top LJ’s? Thanks

It requires the factory original hardware. A frameless top would require less stuff.

I would stay away from the Bestop Supertop for the LJ. I bought one last year and the fit is absolutely horrible to the point of being too loose to be usable. I’ve had a warranty case open with them since August for it, but they don’t seem to have any interest in addressing the issues.

I'm in California too. I have the Bestop Trek Top NX (frameless) on my LJ. The side and rear windows zip off leaving you with a full bimini style top. The front part of the top flips back over the front seats, although I've never used it this way. I run without windows and doors for about half the year. I don't even use my hardtop anymore. I don't commute and I do have a backup ride.

Hello! We’re really sorry to hear this has been your experience — that’s definitely not what we want for any of our customers. We’ve recently made some enhancements to the Supertop for the LJ, and we’d truly like the opportunity to take a closer look at what’s going on with yours. Our goal is to get you a final solution with your top, so if you can share your case number, we’ll work with you directly within that case and review everything alongside our Customer Service and Quality teams. If you want, you can put the Case number here, or you can send me a message directly.
We want to ensure your top is within spec, performing as intended, and ultimately meeting your expectations. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to helping get this resolved.

Case number is CASE208663. I just sent you another email on the case as well.

Appreciate you reaching out and hopeful we can find a solution. Would really like this top to be useable.
