What did you do to your TJ today?

I'd try it. But, a well placed hot sauce makes me want to try a lot of things that otherwise wouldn't sound all that appealing. (I'm not a big fan of Mac & Cheese)

Ordinarily I'd agree. I like all of the ingredients separately. And hotsauce makes everything better. But man.... I can't help but think that if that was on a menu, it would be called heartburn or sewer mouth or something similar.

This is the 2nd or 3rd one that's been installed on this jeep, but the first two were replaced due to a sloppy install at the shop on the first one (I tried to tell him he was doing it wrong...) and a manufacturing defect on the 2nd one that we didn't catch upon install.

I hate to have to drop the tank again, but I kind of need to repaint the gas tank skid anyway. I just don't want to have to do this all the time. I'll just prime the system before cranking until i decide on a solution or get up the motivation to work on it.

It might be time for this.

One of my 8 year old Chinese driving lights quit working this morning. I figured there was no way that all of the LED lights burned out at the same time. Nope, damn mice again! I rewired them and sprayed everything with rodent repellent. I was too pissed off to get a pic, so I did the @Kiwi TJ thing.
Mac & Cheese with tuna fish, on top of ground turkey. Black truffle hot sauce on top. Gently folded on a tortilla. My wife looked like she was going to get sick watching me eat it. I bet @John Cooper would approve.

Haha I would choose ‘The Dew’ every time but this very small general store didn’t have much of a selection.

Until very recently I used to drink a lot of Code Red. Like multiple times a week I would get the QT X-Large (no ice), and probably 2-3 cans/day out of the fridge that my wife keeps stocked for me. She's a good woman.

But something triggered in me a few months back. IDK what it was, but I just stopped. Haven't had a can since June 16, and haven't had a QT drink except on long road trips (so I've had maybe 5 such drinks in that timeframe...but that would've been 20-30 normally). Replaced all that with about 120oz of water a day.

Lost 12 pounds so far, and haven't really done anything else. Dick seems bigger too, but maybe that's because I can see it now.

Well, I verified a suspicion I've had for a month or two now. Hooked a fuel pressure gauge up and had 0psi with the Jeep off. Running showed 49psi. On shutdown, the pressure immediately dropped to zero.

I remember seeing people say you can replace the check valve by itself without replacing the whole pump, but I've never done that. Any info on this? Link to the right check valve?

I have a Delphi pump that has been otherwise flawless. Actually, more of a "What might you do to your Jeep" reply. I have talked - here and elsewhere - about painting the black roof of my TJ a lighter color to make the summer heat here more bearable. Solid gray and solid khaki are what I have considered, but another thought popped into my head this evening. I'm looking at techniques to do it.

I may get flamed, but here is an AI generated sample of a gray-scale digital camo pattern on the roof. (The rear side window would not be camoed, obviously. Sometimes AI ain't that intelligent.)

Or I kinda like this (but I forgot to specify "digital" ...

As opposed to solid khaki ...

... or light gray, probably a shade darker.

I just painted the top of my hardtop with white rubberized RV roof coating, and left the rest of it the dark grey it already was. Made a HUGE difference in heat transfer.

That's an interesting idea.

I'm not familiar with that particular substance. A couple of questions:

1. Did you roll it on, brush it on, spray it on?
2. Does it come in a gray color or can it be tinted?
3. What does the texture look like. Is it thick like a bed liner, or does it just settle like regular paint?
4. I assume you just painted the very top, not the sides, no? I have thought about that.
5. Can you post a photo?

Now that you have me thinking in this direction, I wonder if anyone has ever used FlexSeal spray like that.

ETA: Did a bit of digging. Looks like if I only do the top, Flex Seal Liquid would be the ticket, or even the spray. Might even be able to spray it with Flex Seal. Comes in gray and "almond" (tan or khaki color). Looks like it's similar to the RV roof coating.

I could do the top in white. If it turns out nice looking, could do the bottom part in gray.
