UPS problems

So I ordered something from Savvy on Sunday. Savvy got the package out the door to UPS on Monday. The package is at a UPS hub in Ontario, CA. UPS customer service cant tell me when it may be delivered. They had a power failure Monday, and they still cant find my package. So far every time I called for customer service some lady from out of the country answers the phone that I cant understand and proceeds to tell me it may be in transit.
I have had more trouble out of UPS lately. Now Im really not sure what to do.
 
not that it will make a difference but have Savvy get you the tracking # and you can track it yourself at ups.com....The overseas person is just doing the same thing as that. I have also seen many times no movement on a package and then it shows up the next day,

thanks, Yea Savvy emailed me a tracking number once they had it ready for UPS
 
What does ups say when you track it.

If it is overdue. Then from ups site

1. Lost Package Reported
Shippers are encouraged to report the lost package because notification letters are not sent to receivers. Shippers and receivers can report a lost package on ups.com.

In order to be considered lost, a package must be undelivered 24 hours after the expected delivery date and time. A report cannot be made until then. Please allow additional time when a package is delayed due to adverse weather.

Once you report a lost package, you can check the status of your report online. Contact UPS if you have any questions or concerns.

Note: Loss can only be reported online for packages that have an origination and destination within the United States. To report loss for international packages, contact UPS.

Ups says it's in transit. But can't tell me when the package will be shipped. They say it's still in the hub, because of a power outage .

For what it's worth, I've had issues with USPS where they lost my package, or it accidentally got on the wrong truck, and I ended up waiting a week longer for it than I should have. I tracked the package during the entire process and at one point the tracking just stopped being updated. It just arrived one day out of nowhere when the tracking number said it was still in another state.

Technology isn't perfect, and accidents to happen. I have no doubt you'll get it, sometimes they just make mistakes (not that often).

Eddie, I don't know what you ordered, but have you contacted Savvy to let them know what's going on? They may be willing to reship your order, and have you refuse the lost shipment if it ever arrives.

Ill give them a call today and see what they think.
 
So I get this email this morning from UPS. Looks like yall were right. " Scheduled Delivery Date: Friday, 08/03/2018 "
just a little bit of tracking would have been nice. ha
 
I think UPS has just gotten too full of themselves. They talk like they can deliver anything, anywhere, on time, but I have seen more and more instances where they change their 'guaranteed delivery date' by just saying "delivery date has been updated" for no good reason, other than the package is just late. What's the use of a "guarantee" they have no intention of honoring?

They also do lose packages completely from time to time.

I ordered a part from Amazon Prime on 7/30 that was supposed to deliver today, via UPS 2-day air...guess what? Tracking now says "delivery date has been updated" to tomorrow 8/3. It sat in the UPS system for a day, with no movement. 2-day air, bs.

thats just not right.
 
I once had fedex lose an overnight envelope with over $500,000 in checks for a very large print/mail job I was doing. It showed up 3 months later all mangled at my shop!

Im glad you got it.

In the world of instant information we sometimes forget about the old days when you ordered something by mail and never knew when it would arrive.

I bet that was a great surprise delivery.

Same thing has happened to me a few times! Tracking was never updated, it just showed up.
