So I noticed that both of my door handles are a little floppy and makes some noise when driving and closing the doors. Before I take the doors apart to see what can be done I wanted to see if this is a common issue with an easy fix??? In the pic you can see how far they are out before engaging the mechanism.

Does this cause your door to not open on the outside? Im having that issue with my half doors, I just need to tear into it.

Yes, a simple adjustment. The clip may be broken also, necessitating replacement

Maybe I will try that tonight then, I usually have to give the door a good whack and it will open, but the last two weeks Ive been having to open via the passenger door, getting a little old that way.

May I recommend taking the door off and putting it flat on a table. it will make working on it a lot easier.

Cheers

I will be needing to do this fix soon too, my drivers side handle can be quite annoying while on a bumpy trail.

I went after mine this afternoon. This threaded piece needed to be lengthened. My handle seems a little tighter as a result

Newbie question
I have this issue on my 2005 Unlimited passenger side
Is it hard to take the inside of the door off to do the above fix?
Do I need any special tool beside a Phillips head?
I see a few screws on the inside of the door, but a friend said I had to pry the clips off on the side and risk breaking them
to get the inside of the door off?
Thanks

The panel is indeed held by clips, besides the (3, if I remember correctly) screws. Don't be afraid to break the clips. Carefully, but with force, pry the panel off. Those clips are easily replaceable. You can order them on Amazon and they are cheap. Here is a link: door panel clips.
