Looking for advice on a 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder swap

Yea i mean as much as i don't want to agree with you i definitely understand. Its only rocking a 3 inch lift anyways so 33s will still look nice. Id rather have smaller tires and increase reliability. And i want nothing to do with re gearing myself. I know how difficult that is and i also know how expensive it is unfortunately. So yea i will have to agree. Save money and down grade too 33s is the smart option
While rockin' the 4.10s! I look forward to seeing this project come together, Chief. Sounds like you've got a good thing going, here.

Yea im definitely gonna keep the forum updated and see my journey unfold. Might as well let you guys tag along!

I also plan on selling all the left over parts as well. Axles from the white jeep. The entire 4cyl drivetrain. Should be able to bring in a a decent amount
Those half doors are a hot commodity. Sell one of the sets for some extra coin. And dude...ya just gotta keep the bulldog hood ornament! :D

I'm going to 33s with 4.10s and it will cost me a pretty penny so dont see it as a down grade.
Yea i know, its just sad going from 35s to 33s. But now that i think of it whats the point in 35s if im not gonna be beating her through mud anyways

Well, if the doors are in any kind of shape, it seems there are always folks looking for some. Condition is a factor, obviously, but still...folks like the half-doors a lot.

Like new no dents nothing just ugly color haha

Any advice on a nice set off 33s? Brand etc
Lots of folks seem to like the Goodyear DuraTrac, and others the Cooper (ST, I think). I run Toyo AT II on a couple of rigs, myself. If I might make a recommendation, look at tirecrawler.com for tires. Some, like Toyo and Cooper, have free shipping. Some miscellaneous models of other brands do, as well. I have bought my last 14 sets of tires (seriously!) from that place. Never found a better price anywhere. Just a thought...

I don't care for half doors either. For me it's either full doors or just take them off.

The options you have available are plentiful. You could: 1) sell the 4:10 axle set to someone wanting to run 31" tires, and regear the other set to whatever tire size you settle upon, or 2) run 31" or 32x11.50-15 with your 4:10 axle set and sell the other set of axles for profit.

I would love to find a set of 4:10 axles close to me, as I just acquired a brand new set of 31" tires on Jeep rims cheap.

Whatever tire size you do choose, be sure to use only load range C tires on your Jeep, for ride quality. If those 35's are load range E, sell them.

Pay close attention to all of the rubber bushing in the 2 Jeeps, I would tear them both down, inspect everything, and reinstall all of the best parts onto the good frame. Then part the rest out and sell for funding or more new goodies.

Be sure to open up the pumpkins of all 4 axles, you want to look for aftermarket lockers or limited slips, and keep them for your Jeep. Get a paint marker, and mark your input shaft, and axle, count your turns of the input to 1 turn of the axle, that is the actual gear ratio. I say this because the axles may have been regeared, you may not realize what is actually in there.

Consider installing a Aussielocker in your front Dana 30, I just ordered one for $246 shipped(and I don't even have my Jeep home yet.)

If you have Dana 35 rear axles, look for aftermarket 30 spline axles in them, and do a super 35 conversion kit when you go back together with your Jeep.

I truly appreciate the reply and advice. Half of that i didnt even think of. How much are 4:10 axles roughly worth? I would love to go 4.56 and keep the 35s. I havent looked into regear pricing in my area but I know its not cheap.

Also i never knew about the load C vs E tires. Thank you for that.

As for bushings and parts im definitely going to put the best available in and if they need to be replaced I'll replace them.

The guy was super generous and ended up throwing in red and black leather seats, a 12k warn winch, and a entire waterproof sound set up.

So after alls said and done and i sell all the remaining parts i should make out with practically a free build money wise.
