Budget friendly seat covers

hey guys. I'm aware bartact is the favorite pick with seat covers...however i'm doing a budget rebuild of this tj and they are more then i want to spend for a budget back up, back up, back up toy. this bucket should have been scrapped but against my better judgement i've welded in frame patches floor pans (1 to go) and still to do torque tubes. new suspension, lift, front end parts, brakes, lines, calipers, fuel lines, tune up, fluids, stereo, wheels tires....any how looking for a more budget friendly option. i read to avoid neoprene. i'm looking for something that fits tight and looks acceptable. i'm going to attempt some seat cushion repairs and i'd like the seats to look fresh.

use will be some fire roads, 99% pavement princess summer top off cruiser.

I got a set of CalTrend covers in 100% nylon because my pup goes everywhere with me, including the barns. The fit is top rate and they bead up water. Pup hasn't been able to even scuff them. Don't slide around on them at all like I was afraid nylon would do. I highly recommend them. The seat bottoms are held on by heavy straps like on a military backpack. Had to pull the seats out to interlace the straps and buckles. Smaller hands might not need to. These are somewhere above 500d. nylon fabric. No cheap elastic holding them in place. After several months they are still tight fit and look like new. If a pig barn can't stain them then I doubt much will.

Caltrends tweed with matching upholstery on the boxes in the rear.
Very durable and look great. I paid like $80 for the seat covers. Plus another $25 for an extra yard.

Warm in the winter, not hot in the summer, has a texture to it so you don't slide around at all. Pockets in the rear for gloves or whatever.

Totally changed the style of the interior.

Oh, and I sprayed them with 303 to hopefully keep them from fading and waterproof them. I think they will hold up nicely.

These Covercraft polycotton seat savers may not fit as snugly as you're looking for but I've been very happy with them. Reasonably good fit, good material and good price.

appreciate the fast responses...i went with the above. going to try some repairs with some high density foam contact cement and a good cleaning and cover them up. hopefully better then new!! thanks guys

Thanks again for the link! I did go to that site, and sent the page to my wife. She didn't pick the tweed, but did want another Caltrend seat cover, which ended up being the same price. I placed the order today. She's happy, I'm happy.
