I don't know why this is always so enjoyable but it's been my preferred method of letting the TJ outside since the day I brought her home, for today's drive through the countryside I made no exception:

Drove through Routt National Forest up near Steamboat
While my sausage fingers fumbled around under the steering column fixing my ignition switch I found the steering adjusting cable fitted it back to the lever and now I can adjust height of my steering wheel.
I’ve had my TJ 7 years and after 4 attempts to fix it I finally did it….phew !!
*BONUS POINTS Now I can drop the height of the steering column I could finally take off the scratched covers and give them a lick of paint (looks blue grey in the photo but its black like the rest of the dash I painted)

I've wanted to do this forever! What all did you have to take off to get them off? Those covers you painted that is...
The heater would only blow out the floor vents so I crawled under the dash the other day and found 2 of the 3 blend door arms were broken. Replaced them today and it's working great now. It was actually a lot easier than I expected. Now that I've done it I could probably do it in under 10 minutes. I might actually order a couple spares since from what I've read they tend to break pretty often.
Had BFG KO2s put on yesterday; put on taillight guards, grab handles, and the painted fender flares today. The roll bar covers were added a week or so ago (bought from member DanT).

Thanks! I agree, having the surrounds off look really good, but I recently put them back on so I could put the bikini top back on.
Got the Currie installed and road tested, much mo betta with the 35's.

POR'd the second diff cover. Temps here dropped quickly lately so it will prolly take a while to dry enough for install.

Finally had enough of the $20 Walmart radio.
Phase one completed.... got a nice pioneer head unit that is sat ready.
Now to order the sat receiver. No more crappie sounds.

Installed new dual ARB compressor. Still needs to be wired, but I got it bolted on.
I built a tailgate table for my LJ today.
It's sized to support a Coleman stove … but I'm sure I'll find some other uses for it.

Sure that's a good place to be hanging a open flame while out on a trail throwing back some colds ones with the buddies ? Little close to a 15 gallon fuel source wouldn't you think.
I mean I know we all do stuff like that all the time but that could sure throw a damper on the weekend pretty quick, just throwing it out there if it never crossed your mind.BUT.....looks good and sturdy for sure.

Camp stoves on tailgate tables, pick-up truck tailgates, chuck box slide outs, etc. are pretty common. I've used another one I built for my TJ many times.
