I just installed Rancho RS5000x shocks on all 4 corners of my TJ to replace my worn out Teraflex 9550 shocks. To me, these shocks are not riding as well as I thought they would like others have praised. When I go over bumps, I feel jolted around but the Jeep never gets out of control and is back to being level very quick, and much better than before. It handles very well but it just seems like the shocks are bottoming out or the bumpstops are hitting. Before I purchased the shocks, I read on this forum that they run a little long and to call Rancho and get the correct PN for my lift height. For a 2 inch lift, they said go with PN RS55239 for the front and RS55241 for the rear. Are these shocks too long for my lift height and bottoming out causing my rough or do I just need to put some miles on the shocks to break them in?
