Question about another possible TJ purchase

This is from a for sale on face book, problem is it has no plate and in a civilized area, so no test drive at highway speeds. Knowing nothing about lifts, does anyone have a WAG if this lift might have been done right. Also the build sheet says it came with 3.07 gearing.Would the drive train handle those tires?

All quality parts, though don't know where they found new nth degree springs, I think they went out of business. AEV used to use them on most of their lifts. Currie steering and adjustable arms are top notch

Frame is acceptable for the north east
But your suggestion about the plates could cost me thousands of dollars and loss of license. This is NYS with a bored cop on every corner looking to meet their quota.

Does it have a SYE? You need to drive it, or offer much less $$ by deducting the cost of upgrading everything you can't know about it without driving it. That price will buy you a rust free jeep down south.

I could be acceptable to the north east... if it has no warped areas on the skid plate between the bolts that hold it to the frame, no more than minimal flakes between the skid plate and frame, and most important, but kinda awkward to check, the bolts holding those together can be unscrewed without spinning the nuts in the frame.

I'm not sure if your cops would already recognize that Jeep as being unlicensed just because they saw it on the road. Maybe they're constantly sitting across the street making sure it never moves, IDK but I can't even remember the number of test drives where the car had a "fake" plate. I was either following it in another car or someone was following me. Thankfully breaking down or getting in an accident never happened.

Might be worth looking at. Quality arms, steering, not sure on springs as I don't know much about Nth. I do know they were pretty innovative back in the day though.

That said--it does look like its from a dealer (an independent dealer it looks like). He should allow you to test drive. If not, I can only assume he wants to hide something.

Doesn't look bad from the little I can see in the photos. Rust would be the number one concern, as it always should be.
