Had a Tera-2-Low in my Rubicon NV-241OR Rock Track transfer case for many years. Used it 90% of the time on technical trails like the Dusy-Ershim, Swamp Lake, Moab and The Rubicon trail. Makes you almost never need 4WD except extreme obstacles and for those with a fixed full locker like a Detroit up front, it's almost a necessity for tight technical trails. It's not for everyone but it does work well in certain situations. Just remember, your planetary gears are still spinning very fast and use caution to not over-rev them or you will damage your NP/NVG TC in fairly short order speeding around when you should be in high range instead.
Went to an Atlas II now so I can run around in front or rear, high or low range with true twin-stick capability. After a couple of expensive transfer case planetary failures it was evident for the need to go to a gear-driven HD TC.
