Looking for advice on lockers for my TJ

IIRC, @mrblaine has mentioned in the past that the Dana 30 has a slight tendency to flex, I would only "guess" that it would be more so of an occurrence on 35 inch tires.
Nothing that isn't solved by a knowledgeable gear setter who knows to set them up with a bit more preload on the carrier bearings. Certainly not a truss worthy issue especially for a 30. It's a 30, break it, go buy another housing.

So far, I’ve learned:

1.) 4.88 gears are the right choice for my set up.

2.) I should get a 1 inch body lift (hopefully don’t need anything else when I install beside adjusting my arms)

3.) I should re-gear and do lockers at once as ill save money in labor.

4.) I need to upgrade my front Axle (Dana30) with chromoly axle. Anything else I should note... example, should I consider a certain spline vs. another etc.

5.) Detroit Locker is the most cost effective but still don’t understand why and if it’s more inferior than the other options.

#3: Yes - take it from someone who learned that the hard/expensive way
#5: Because its not selectable - ie you cant turn it on or off when you want . It goes on when it decides..

#4 if you do go with chromo 27 splines, you will have more peace of mind. Can they break? Sure, but folks run some very tough trails with Dana 30's and 35's. if it breaks, it breaks. Go out and have fun in it.

Get an aluminum puck 1.25" body lift. I'm partial to the Savvy kit.

I chose Revolution 4340 axles with the big joints. They come in standard 27 spline or "super 30" 30 spline for the Dana 30. Of course you need to match the spline count of the axle to the spline count of the locker.

Doesn't matter if it is selectable. On the street in 2 hi, it sees no torque and is invisible. Offroad, it locks up when it sees torque and that is a good thing. There are no downsides to a front auto locker unless you drive in the snow and ice.

What if you're off-road and you dont want it on?

What situation warrants that?
I drive around off-road in 4WD all the time - i dont necessarily want the front locker on that entire time.. as a matter of fact, it's rare that i turn the front locker on.. even if i occasionally get a little front slippage..

I guess I'm not a good off-roader because i like the ability to be able to decide if/when the front locker is engaged.. Nothing against a detroit, they're rock solid, but, I prefer to be in control.. Others may not care.. i do.

I had front and rear automatic lockers for years on my daily driver previous TJ and it was fine both on and off road.

I added all parts to my cart so I know exactly what I need. I included a screen shot.

Also, when I added the Yukon Chromoly axles, it gave me an option at check out to choose between two different U -Joints. Options were Yukon Super U-Joints OR Spicer 5 -760x U-Joints. Can anyone shed some light on the differences/

I opted to choose the 5-760X because its cheaper. Would any of these choices require additional parts or mods etc?
