E Brake shoes?

So 05 with rear disk brakes. I have never paid attention. It there a small set of shoes there for the E brake? Just had new EBC's installed and the man never said anyhting about the E Brake. Cable is to the end of its adjustment so I assume they need replaced. I cn hear some noise come from that area.

Shoes? and what brand should I go with if there is much of a choice?

Any other parts I should replace while Im at it?

They are more properly called parking brakes since they don't do anything until the parking brake handle is pulled up. Any brand of brake shoe is fine there.

I don't see any individual parking brake shoes / pads...?

Then again, I haven't touched a drum brake for 10+ years. My Rubi has rear discs.

Oh yeah... If we're talking about rear discs (which I failed to realize), then yes, there are separate parking brake shoes. I wouldn't even worry about what brand you go with for those.

My adjustment are at their end and now I have some grinding and am sure that is what it is. I have never changed them before. So I guess it is like changing regular brake shoes? If so I should be fine

Before you go buy parking brake shoes, pull the caliper and remove the rotor hat and inspect the shoes. Chances are you just need to adjust the shoe adjuster a bit. You can also adjust the parking brake cable under the jeep a bit. The grinding could be a sign though the shoes are thin. Check your brake pads while you're there.

Yep, I remember doing mine a year or so ago, and it was easy and straight forward.

The parking brake on a TJ does not adjust with the cables. It adjusts just like most drum brakes do, with the star wheel adjuster. Do that adjustment first and then take it for a short drive, block or two and apply the parking brake a few times by pulling up on the handle a few times to make sure the shoes are bedded. Go back and adjust again with the star wheel. When that is done, then take the slack out of the cables with the splitter over the t-case.
