Dang where are you staying? Rim Village from where I just looked was booked. But I found a place called Red Sands Habitation, Moab and it's a 3 bedroom mobile home. Full kitchen and stuff for $153 per night. My daughter says she is coming so I would have 1 bedroom to rent out if someone wanted it.

That's just fine. I was looking on the map, and all of these places are very, very close to each other. The Rim Village one is only popular with us folks who have younger kids it seems. We're trying to set it up so they can all play together and hopefully provide some entertainment amongst one-another.

Someone needs to bring some 50cc dirt bikes or quads

Well my daugher likes kids so if all you YOUNGER folks want a adult night out maybe you can plan one and she can watch all the kids.

A lot of TJs here need to be driving before winter it sounds like. Same goes for you @RustyAutoholicGuy

Okay, yours drives though, I have to give you that.

I could put the tires back on the axles and weld some rod to hold them in place and then I could PUSH mine right now. Does that count as driving?

So are we talking about a one piece axle shaft, no diff?

That probably works fine as long as you don’t plan on turning much 🤣

Rim village has lots of options left if you go on vrbo.

Does anyone going fly drones?

I’m still trying to sort out if it’s me alone or some family coming too. When I get that sorted out I’ll know if I’m staying 1st class or 5th.

Great!

Can he fly it? 😉

That kind of footage on the obstacles is really cool.
I recall him flying it on the rubicon at camp but that was in September. I'm not sure if he's crashed it since. 🤷‍♂️

Never used vrbo before so I'll have to look. Was hoping to find some place with a kitchen if I can to help save a little money.

Can I get a clarification on the dates? Is this arriving on 24 April and depart on 1 May or arrive on 23 April and depart on 2 May?

Yeah mine drives, I'm just limited to reverse and 1st gear at the moment, hopefully that will be resolved next week!

Same here, I'm trying to go ahead a book something as well!

@Alex01 here is the current stats on my rig, though you got most it already!

VehicleLiftTiresWinchGearsFrontRearTransmissionT/C Ratio
RHD TJ+1.25 BL31.7"No3.73Dana 30/OpenDana 44/LSDAuto7.4:1

If it would help, I can plan on upgrading to a front winch, it's on my list of things anyway and I've been debating a TrueTrac or E-Locker for my Dana 30, not sure I was going to do it this soon. Does everyone think I'll be fine with my Dana 44 LSD rear and low T/C gearing?

@Alex01 Should we add fuel type to the list? I'm going to be diesel, and with that said how easy is it to find diesel fuel in Moab? I just realized I probably need to bring 2x 5-gallon fuel cans as well.

Also because this will be my first long wheeling trip, do we have a guide on what we should bring? Tools, spare parts, and do we use FRS/GMSR radios? Do I need to just get my ducks in a row and get my amateur radio license?

LASTLY since I'm Right Hand Drive, how should I prepare for Drive and Passenger calls? Do I do respond like everyone else?

Sorry for the long post, just want to make sure I have everything covered!

Thanks
Grant
