What did you do to your TJ today?

Yah, when I hit a different bump on my way home, that would sometimes kind of make the Jeep jump over a bit, it didn't do anything per say. It just hit the bump and kept going, no wobble.

I will double check the torque on things tomorrow, just to rule that out.

Ok, power went out at both houses so what better thing to do but tell hubby I want to check the torque on the track bar. Needless to say, I think I found the problem. He put it on with the impact wrench but never checked the torque. When he took a wrench to the nut, the bolt and nut spun inside the hole. LOL He took a torque wrench to it and probably cranked it about 3 to 4 times before it actually did it's thing. It is now at the 110 ft lbs, the instructions call for. Will drive it and let you all know how it goes tomorrow after work. :D

Uhgg, hubby's that want to take short cuts. LOL :D

Thanks for the link. That looks easy enough to make.

It was. The only pieces I had to buy was the little terminals to plug into the fuse box behind the glove box. Made my own bracket out of some scrap aluminum and mounted it just like the picture On Quadratec.

Pulled the interior

Got the sound proofing down (that's an awful lot of rolling....)

While I had the console out, I went ahead and installed and wired up the trans temp gauge:

And then today, my SAVVY arms came back from powder coat, we got lucky they match the patriot blue almost perfect. It's a shame they will be buried under the TJ...

Very nice, did they use a prismatic powder color?

Trying out a new style hand throttle using a small cycle lever. I will finish and test drive this weekend.

Does it have a feature to lock the throttle in like the others? Or does it require you to keep constant tension on it?
Constant tension. Your finger runs it like your foot. It is a stubby and fits right under the hand. I will finish and drive it and see what it feels like.

Package arrived with some mirrors so I can take my doors off. I need to find a better solution to my dome light vs pulling the fuse. I'm sure y'all know of something.

There’s one on Amazon that’s half the price of the Quadratec one. Of course I found it after I had already bought the Qtech one. Serves me right for not just making it myself tho. There are instructions somewhere on how to do it.

Edit: found the DIY instructions.

Made a drive up the Ocoee Gorge(pavement) to the pulloff for Goforth Creek. It's a short hike along a beautiful shade filled tributary full of sweet cascades and waterfalls. Got in one quick painting today.

Waiting on the rest of my parts to replace hoses and such on the cooling system. Not had any issues, but 100,000+ mile maintenance. I'm trying to not be like my dad (God love'm) and wait until something breaks to fix it. New jounce bumpers on the replace list too, since they are nonexistent on my Jeep right now. Eventually new springs and shocks. I've had good luck with BDS in the past with my XJ. Just going 2" max....I know, that's what we all say. :p

Here's a little video I put together:

Instead of pulling the fuse, I used a fuse tap to add a switch to the fuse. I located the switch up under the dash next to the passenger courtesy light. ($4 for the switch, and $7 for 10 of the fuse taps on Amazon.)

Ok, the bolt not being torqued to spec was the issue. Drove it to work and back and purposely tried hitting some of the bigger holes in the city road, LOL, and all was fine. It is actually back to normal as far as steering and rides much better then it did with the stock springs. :D
