those look a great wheeling tire, will you be driving on the road much? They look like they would be pretty bad on street.

No this is mainly a trail Jeep and won't see hardly any street time. I'd guess a 80/20 split. It'll be trailered most of the time also.

The IROCK tires are not a bad street tire either but from what I have heard you'd only see about 30K out of them.

I LOVE Iroks! They are not bad at all on the street, in fact much better balance than TSL’s.

but you are correct, they are a soft tire. I should have bought them. Next time, when I go up in size. Damnit, gotta stop watching these builds, I was dead set on 33’s tops!

what are you doing with the rocker knockers?

33!? Cmonnnnn :)

Been down this road so much, I made a promise to stop at a rather mild build. But...since I have a 4” lift and added the Savvy BL lift, I’m ready for the next step. Ugh. Just don’t want to drop the 10k.....
Honestly 33s are awesome and 35s require a ton of compromises. If you’re not limited by that size on the trail, then there is no reason to go up :)

I had a lot of fun at TSF and Goldendale in a TJ on 33’s. Once I went to rigs on 35-40” range, it really tames stuff but I haven’t wheeled it all!

it’s more ego for me at times. I’m honest.

The rocker knockers will be going on the daughter's TJ with all the other stuff coming off my TJ.

Nice! She’s getting some great parts! I really want to change mine out for Savvy’s too, love the design!

She's going to be spoiled. Once I'm done with mine I've got plans for hers. Got new axles to go under her rig too. Nothing crazy. But she is getting all the hand-me-down parts from my Jeep.

Those are some badass tires. I haven't read through the thread so you may have already covered this but they must be pretty pricey with such an uncommon size? I actually changed rim size on my Tundra because the NItto Trail Grappler's were so expensive at the size I wanted.

Actually they are very reasonable compared to other tires this size. I went to the 16.5" rim size when I recentered some Hummer rims. It's one of the true dual beadlock type rims around.
The new rims are from StazWorks, he makes custom dual beadlock rims in many sizes. Their only drawback is that they are heavy because they are made out of steel.

What is it about the AiRock that is the problem as you see it?
In my world, I can't deal with the 2 positions of the steering wheel. My steering is far too important to me and my OCD to live with it off-center on the trail or on the road which ever your poison may be.

I've wheeled with several in this part of the world. The compromises it creates do not balance out against the overall diminished capability of the system. At best in this part of the world, it is a gimmick suspension.
Notice the use of how and where.
It may work fine for you and that is all that matters. It doesn't work for us.

Bolt in your driveshaft and check what angle it binds. Move the axle up slightly so it doesn't bind. That is your limit for down travel.

That's a few days or weeks down the road. I don't have a drivetrain in the Jeep right now and then I need to get the rear extended for the rear stretch I did.
