American Deplorable differential covers?

Guy on eBay selling decent looking aluminum diff covers for $80/shipped, brand name "American Deplorable", supposedly made in USA. Anybody know anything about this, Google doesn't reveal much, but then again, how hard is it to screw up a differential cover? I'm interested because they have drain plugs, and at this price point its a no brainer if they're decent.

Yea it looks a lot bigger than necessary and you could find a brand new one online WITH a drain plug for around the same price.

I chose to go with the Spicer covers. They fit like factory and have two fill plugs and a drain plug. The extra hole is for high pinion angle filling. They also retain a stockish internal geometry to reduce oil starvation at the pinion.

I did have to grind the ribs a bit in the front to clear the Currie trackbar and the Savvy tie rod, but not to the point of going into the base metal. The rear fit fine.

Where? This is about the best price I've been able to find for one with a drain plug. Even the above mentioned Spicer ones are significantly more coin.

She made the connection between it and them and she should be proud every single time she sees it. I'm actually surprised she didn't apply for a Trademark so she could collect money every time it's used.

Get a different diff cover or skid that isn't needlessly bulky. How's that?

Haha yep no problem! I feel ya on having orders that are OOS! I live two hours from quadratec and typically get orders within 1-2 days. However, I am actually waiting on a diff cover as well. Its supposed to be shipped to the warehouse.
Anyways, my personal preference for my Jeep is always new over used parts. I’m sure those diff covers on eBay would be perfectly fine. The same goes for the rugged ridge covers as well. I just wanted to let you know that there are brand new options that won’t break your bank. I’ve recently gotten into tearing into my Jeep and replacing/upgrading everything so I still have much to learn!

This gets curiouser and curiouser! While doing more digging, I did find another diff cover with drain plug cheaper - but only for the 30. But I also found a cover by "Solid Axle Industries" - who actually has a website, which is - the very best I can tell from pictures - the EXACT same casting as the "Deplorable", except that: A) it doesn't have a drain plug, and B) its cast iron, not aluminum. So it looks like somebody's sharing casting molds, or copied somebody else, or something! *shrug*

If you’re up for a salvage yard you can get enough coverage for around $20.

the reality is you probably don’t need to drain your diff often enough for a plug to matter. If you do, just get a lube locker gasket.

Years ago, a friend went through the trouble of shaving off the D in SOLID to make the cover clear the front track bar. If you search Jeep Forum for SOLI you can find out more.
