TJ cranks but will not start

Alright so Saturday I pulled in the garage to put some gauges on my 02 TJ 4.0. Removing the oil pressor sensor sit broke and tried to run it without and it would not fire. It cranks but will not start. Ok so I said screw the gauge and ordered a brand new oil pressure sensor and installed today and same issue it will crank over but will not start. Please note I drove it all day and pulled it in the garage no issues. Now I have checked fuses swapped fuses relays and checked everything to make sure I did not knock anything loose. Today I ordered camshaft position sensor to try that next and see. I also bought a code reader and it keeps saying will not connect please try this this and this but nothing works. The key trick shows nothing for codes just mileage. Battery is brand new and reads perfect tested today. Like I said it cranks just will not fire. Any input what am I missing why did or how could this just randomly happen after I messed with the oil pressure sensor? Do I need special tools to check if I am getting fuel. I did starter fluid nothing it’s like maybe something is not allowing something. How do you check spark on fuel rails? Please guys any help? @Jerry Bransford

It's right next to the dip stick to check the blinker fluid.

No I was not doing it on purpose.

I just cannot comprehend the paragraphs he created.

Maybe you can re-phrase it and re-explain it to us so we can help.

IMO - I think he needs to look at the CPS because "not starting" has nothing to do with "fuse" and/or the "oil" and/or related "pressure" low compression issues. It is more of the "fuel" rather than the "oil" is required to fire up an engine. If the battery is new, it could be the alternator problem. He said he already drove it and so spark plugs are not the problem.

Last but not the least, you guys are the ones needing help - why do you treat us (readers) like that? You did not even apologize about anything and you fired up post #7 - a bit of arrogance huh?

@Milrz You'll have to explain what you meant by "check the spark on fuel rails". I think that's another place where you lost people and started getting ragged on. Also don't miss @TJ2 's advice in the post prior to this.

Sorry I jumped on your case (by saying "don't worry someone around here will help" implying you weren't). The first time I read this thread it really did sound like you were razzing OP and that it didn't go over well. So I tried smoothing things over which only backfired lol.

Rereading this thread I can now see the razzing only happened after #7.

So yeah, @Milrz try rereading the thread again like I just did without assuming @TJ2 was egging you on. You may have come on a little strong in post #7. No worries though! It's really frustrating when stuff breaks and it only ever breaks when you most need it working or have other things to get done.

It’s all good issue is you knew what we were asking. You also instead of offering help or questioning the issue offered a smart ass answer. So sorry for pissing you off but it was self lead.

Pull one of them - just one at a time.
Get someone to start the jeep while you hold the spark plug (assembled with the coil rubber socket) spark plug tip pointing into the metal part of the engine.

Watch the tip of the plug - it will spark if current goes through when the engine turns. If that works go onto the next - the same procedure. What you are doing here is "process of elimination".

In other words I got two smart asses the wanted to make fun of it.
