What did you do to your TJ today?

Hell yeah! Katzkin leather with heaters. One of my favorite upgrades so far!
I love Katzkin; have it in both of our 2016 Cherokees but, with the TJ being essentially a dedicated trail machine, it just wasn't practical so went with CalTrend tweed (still in box for now).

Parking brake handle was going almost vertical, and of course wasn’t holding. I guess dealer that I bought the TJ from wasn’t much on safety inspection of used vehicles. Subaru dealer, can you blame them? Lol
Garage is full of junk, so I wasn’t able to work on flat ground, and had to resort working in the driveway that has a little slop. No big deal. Pulled rear tires off, and of course parking brake shoes adjuster wasn’t set properly. 20 minutes, done deal.

My automotive Drillbrush set came in, and I forgot it at work. 🤦‍♀️ I'm going to use them on the vinyl floor covering, and stick floor mats on them when I get them looking good again. Dirt is a pain to get out of the texture.

Just ordered a replacement under-dash courtesy lamp for the passenger side footwell since I found the connector hidden in the dash. Ordering warm white 168 LED replacement bulbs for the footwells and overhead light. Cool white is too harsh for my liking on the interior at night. I really like the red you guys have used — it's easiest on the eyes at night, and I thought about getting them for just the footwells, but I didn't want to have any "is that a bungee cord, or a snek?" moments. 🐍🤣

on the 4th I popped the bikes on & headed to Phoenexville PA to ride the Schuylkill River Trail then hang out in town for some drinks & whatnot, a great day indeed & the last one like it for a little while as the TJ is currently ripped apart for a clutch installation.

that's my son's bike carrier I borrowed, I'm really liking this thing & will have to get one. Also want to grab a small trailer for camping, many things on the list

Tried the Drillbrush out on the vinyl flooring at lunch and it really does the job! I got the white "automotive" set with the extension. Went a little crazy on amazon in the wee hours this morning...

1/16" neoprene foam roll with adhesive backing to make new gaskets for tail light guards
2 Doorman 20780 clutch/brake pedal pads (to replace the PO's racing pedals, hope I don't lose too much HP 🤣 )
4-pack of 168 replacement LED bulbs in warm white
Rugged Ridge All-Terrain Entry Guards
Maxliner 1st row floor mats (weather tech style, but $50 cheaper)

and for my doggo who is kinda wild on car rides:

Not the most attractive option, but I think it's the best option to keep him contained vs. the web strap ones that could allow him to get between the tub and the net. Has good reviews and it's half the price of the web strap one. Hoping I can rig it up to work in conjunction with the strapless (which actually does have straps, just not the kind that go to the cargo area) BesTop bikini top I have. Also need to get something to keep him from jumping into the front row, but I don't have a console, so the "dog nets" are too short. Might just try a seat buckle tether and hook it to the ones in the cargo area.

finally got to install the kickers all round they are a definite improvement over the blown 5.25 front infinity's that were put in by PO and he had 6.5 infinity's in rear also blown not great pics and i didnt get pics of the kickers after install in front the one rear is all i got for now.i did use poly fill in sound pods in rears. fronts i am deciding if i want to make pods or buy something

Realized the other day when I put in my stereo that I didn't have a battery tie-down. So - I ordered one, it came in today.

The battery tray was a bit rusty, so I figured it could use some cleaning up while I'm in there. Currently soaking in evapo-rust, will wire wheel it tomorrow then repaint it so it's good to go ! Another fairly easy project.

Also soaking the bolts as well. Slowly starting to attack the rust on this thing !

I need to replace a missing battery bracket/tie down as well. Which one did you end up using, the bottom wedge or the top clamp?

The top clamp. It was like 25$ used OEM from deadjeeps (local-ish jeep parts store to me) .... It seemed like a better option to stick with OEM after the small amount of research I did, but I think either one would work !
