Death Wobble is simply auto oscillation of the steering system , and it can be 100 percent a bad, worn, low or out of balance tire causing it, a worn , or multiple worn components allowing it, and get this ...any combination of the above, any percentage of either working together.
If it's entirely loose components, and perfect tires ...the. It's passive death wobble ...all's good til you hit a bump ..then it starts.
I've known of one defective front brake rotor cause it on a JK.
Are Jeeps hyper sensitive to it? Not really, it's just an inherent characteristic of all track bar/coil spring front ends when things are loose or shake them , and is exacerbated by larger tires in relation to the steering systems design and scale.
My 2012 F250 had it, at 82mph. That was the magic speed, and boy was it scary. A new track bar fixed it.
It's often the track bar, and don't count on identifying it by hand, it takes way more force to reveal too much slop or bushing flex.
