Body lift with rock sliders

I'm taking the step to add a MML / BL to my TJ. One issue I have is where the prior owner purchased "rock sliders" that use the body mount as to mount (in addition to screws in the tub). What I'd like to do is ensure that all the body mounts are equally lifted. I would think now there is a bit off in that some body mounts are "lifted" by .25" (or so) from the rock sliders and some are not.


My question is...is it okay for some body mounts to have the rock slider thing and be unlevel? Should I figure out how to machine down a body lift? Can I shave off some of the rubber?

I hope my question makes sense without pictures. If not, I can take some when I get home.

I would find a way to separate the sliders from the body mounts. But that feels easier said than done.

The sliders use the body mounts as a mounting point. That's how you bolt them down if that makes sense

the ones I have mounts in between the rubber and the frame.

I don’t disagree but it’s already there and the holes are still in the tub so I feel stuck.

I have an 1.25" BL, poison spyder POS sliders, and for the slider body mounts I have 1" body lift pucks. I regret buying these sliders, I regret keeping them during the body lift, and you're better off cutting your losses and getting different sliders. You should have no problem finding other sliders that cover yours existing holes.

So it sounds like you hit the same issue as me. So you think it’s better to have random holes in the tub. But if it doesn’t use the frame as a mount, what would it use instead?

I installed the poison spider sliders with my 1.25 body lift. I put my body lift pucks on a lathe and turned them down 3/16” to compensate for the 3/16 material of the sliders. After I turned some new metal sleeves to go inside the body lift so I didn’t crush the bottom body mount when tightened back down. Picture below to get the idea

thanks. Seems like a comprehensive list but trying to understand which ones would avoid the issue. I think there’s a terminology that I’m not following.
