Bent axle shaft?

The interference issue lies with the shafts though. Something on the face of the shaft is the problem. Can you take a pic of the shaft flange head on?
The axle shaft flange is larger than stock. The flange is contacting the drum where it shouldn’t. You need to grind a bevel in the shaft to clear the drum. See my above pictures of my axle shaft after I beveled the edge.

Yeah i meant to say that I'll do that for sure. I wonder why this happens tho

This happens because aftermarket axle shafts are typically dual drilled for 5x4.5 and 5x5.5. They use the same shafts if you have drum or disc. My RGA had much more bevel than yours do. Even then it wasn’t enough to clear the drum flange. Either the aftermarket drum molds changed or the axle companies didn’t do their homework.

Further, I emailed RGA about my findings and pointed out I tried 3x different drums and they really didn’t seem to care all that much...

I'd guess it's just an issue with the new axle shaft. If you look at an OEM shaft flange vs the revolution - they are notably different. The OEM one has a smaller diameter since it is built for the 5x4.5 pattern. The Revolution has 5x4.5 and the larger JK bolt pattern (so the face is larger, possibly causing interference with the drum).

I checked my drum and theres a groove in there im go ahead and bevel the shaft.. do you have a more clear picture of your shafts?

I don't have anything from before I beveled them. Just take both drums off, put the rear on jack stands, run it in 3rd or 4th gear while you use a grinder with a flap disk on the flange. Check it every so often to see if the drum seats fully. Watch out for the studs!

did you grind off alot? I already took off about .5 in and still wobbles

I ground enough until it cleared. Hard to say how much exactly.

What are you using to grind? If you take a look at mine I basically did a 45* bevel from the face of the flange to the rear edge. I probably spent 5-10 minutes a side but I was using a 4.5" grinder with a 40 grit flap disc.

Take a look at the groove wore into your drum. It is maybe 1/4" off of the face of the drum where it mounts to the axle flange. It looks to me like you are grinding too far back towards the backing plate.

Well my dumbass was using a cutting wheel lol switched to a Diablo 40 grit so I'm try that now

I was grinding down the back because I kept looking at the stock shaft and I noticed its way smaller, but I;ll do it like yours

Once you get the hang of it it goes pretty quick.
well i got the hang of it, grind it down at an angle. It started raining but I test fitted it and its wobbling way less now. ill finish it off tomorrow, thank for the help.

Its odd we both ran in to this and you don't see more people having this issue and posting about it. For me it wasn't so much a vibration but when I would hit my brakes the shoes were making a noise since they were shifting on the wobbly drum.

I started putting two and two together when someone told me it looks like my rear tires are wobbling on the road.

Well I have a vibration at 60 70 mph and a "Womp womp womp" that starts at 40mph and almost disappears at 50mph. Not sure if this is why Im getting these vibrations but I only noticed it because I took it to the shop that did the gears to fix the pinion seal that was leaking and they said my axle shafts were bent. I only seen 1 more post about drums not fitting in properly on the shafts. weird.

Its a good place to start but it could be your driveshaft angles as well.

I believe im good on that, im at 1 degree difference. I did notice while under the jeep that shaft is wobbling and I already had it rebalance so I'm not sure.
