Ok so I posted before about a regear .... 04 Rubi..... was going 4.88 and it lead to 5.13 for 33s and 5.38 for 35s.. well i ended up with 5.13 after waiting 2 weeks for the shop to not order the 4.88 gears but anyway 5.13 were installed ... now I had a rear axleshaft leak before and replaced the seal and it continued to leak so when they did the gears they also replace the seal and bearings .... rear axle .... and it still leaked so they pulled it and discovered it was bent .. thus the leak so now ... I'm guessing I can buy a chromo for one side only and get the other later due to 1600 on regear don't really wanna spend another 5-600 on shafts ... I guess I'm wanting to verify the spline count as I'm seeing anything from 27 to 34 or 35... I'm thinking 30 but noway to verify unless I pull it and this forum is the only place I ask anywhere near a technical question

Nevermore d I didn't read it first

Got a picture of the bearing and seal as installed by the shop. I doubt it is or can be bent enough to cause a leak.

So is there a difference in Dana 44 shafts between rubi and non rubi such as length with different carriers to support the locker / thicker ring gear on the rubis and will this work and does it come pre-installed with seals and bearings as pictured

No, all TJ rear Dana 44 30 spline stock replacement shafts work in all TJ rear Dana 44's. The only difference is drum or disc and that is just a retainer swap.

Ok so is there a difference between chromo shafts from one manufacturer to another ... in other words is one any stronger than the other

Don't have a photo but it's been leaking for 2 yrs and has been replaced twice now and still leaks... the shop has a great rep and is specifically off road and diesel performance .. long talk with the builder ... been at it for years done hundreds of jeeps ... they had a lift that you drive on then the middle has 2 separate movable lifts to pick it up off the lift you drove on

Removed from the jeep... chromo shaft fixed it ... no leak in 2 weeks and over 2500 miles... wondering how I can spin it to see if it's bent with out putting it back in with tire off and spin with the motor.. never felt any type of wobble or vibration so really no idea other than it no longer leaks
