What did you do to your TJ today?

How did the ox fail? I mean, what caused it?

Installation error(s). Among other things wrong the linkage was adjusted incorrectly and holding the locker partially engaged. Not Ox’s fault at all.

Here’s how the shims were installed if that tells you anything...

I reprogrammed my trail dash to the “stock” setting today. I took it on some trails Saturday and about died trying to ascend the simplest of hills due to the touchiest throttle in TJ history. Not sure why the previous owner was looking for soooo much power on it. It’s a Jeep, the throttle is 100x better. Now when I let off the gas and back on I don’t feel the entire drivetrain trying to jump out!

I finished my half doors today. They match perfect, at least to me who is slightly colorblind 😉 The door panels, while they match, need some love, so I’m gonna pick up some SEM 5020 tomorrow and do both the half and full door panels. The full driver door panel is ashy on the top and has a crack, so I figured I could fix all of that in one fell swoop since I’m gonna have the gun out and spraying. I might do the dash too just to freshen everything up.

I organized some videos here where someone documented their interior restoration with great results.

Little mud on the sides will camouflage any imperfections ;)

Getting a lil bit nippy On the morning drives into work here in Michigan So decided to throw the hardtop back on this morning after having the Jeep topless since June.View attachment 189171

California probably doesn't compare to Michigan as far as what you consider cold to what I do LOL, but I'm considering putting my windows all back in. It actually just started to cool off the last couple of mornings. Just hate to do it and it turns back to the 100's again. LOL I'll give it a couple more days. :D

Right? It’s down and the 50s and 60s here. I’m already telling people merry Christmas!

Posted the first picture in the TJ thread as well but picked up some new shoes for the LJ along with a 5th wheel for the spare. Just gotta track down a tire. Fun fact you can fit 4 33's in the back of an LJ!

I was born in VT, work outside all winter and don't/can't wear gloves for my job (construction). I was told by my boss, "If you don't think about it, you won't get cold". Doesn't quite work that way for me. You adapt. Hard tops help very little. Jeep heaters are incredibly hot, even on low when temps are below zero.I buy Jeeps with them, so I can sell them for $800.

Really Just personal preference to throw my hardtop back on, never said there was any advantages over a hardtop or soft top as I have both and both keep me plenty warm in the Michigan winters with the tj heater on low lol.
