02 TJ coming around

WIth all this discussion on what the OP should do....; the OP needs to decide what he is going to use the Jeep for and where he is going to do it... Then he can decide what modifications are required.

So are you willing to scratch that new paint going off road? We warn all the new Jeep owners on our group rides "You will get mountain pin stripping on this run" Some get pretty upset when they realize the end result of their purchase! If you not willing to pick up some paint damage, I wouldn't worry about re-gearing.
More like south Texas pinstriping from all the brush/trees down on the deer lease. No rocks or mountains here pal. The paint was literally peeling off the hood so I decided to paint it.

Thanks fellas, the only reason i did alittle repainting was because the hood literally looked like hell, it was sun baked for 18 years. This new paint scratched or not looks way better than before. As i said before i dont even have hills down here much less mountains, I will however get into some mud and would like to be able to get on the highway and get home above 50mph. Good call on the "look around for used axles", seems way more reasonable than spending $17-1900 on a regear. And I get it boys, jeeps are meant for crawling and getting beat up, but i still like to wash it off and have her shine a bit every once in awhile
