I've been searching and searching and can't find the bolt size for the Harmonic Balancer/Crankshaft damper. Does anyone know? It's for a 2004 Wrangler Tj. I found that it's 1/2-20-1.25 for a 1998 Wrangler but I want to make sure that it hasn't changed for newer years.

I have no idea what happened to my bolt and it's at the shop right now since I didn't have the tools to remove/install the balancer myself.

Do you have the washer? I seem to remember it was a slightly weird size and I'm sure it was extra thick. IIRC the bolt and maybe also the washer were the same size as a BBC? I think I wound up ordering an ARP bolt and washer for mine that crossed to that. I'll try and see if I can find the thread on the Jeep strokers board.

Yes, thankfully I didn't misplace the washer. I went out and bought a new bolt and brought it to the shop, it worked thankfully!

Too late now, but most auto parts stores have the balancer puller as a free loaner tool.

Hello, I’m having a issue with my 2004 Jeep wrangler TJ crankshaft bolt as well and was wondering where you bought yours at?
