Would a ECM from a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 work in my TJ?

My ecm blew and I can’t find a used one or a new one within an affordable price.

Would a ECM ECU Engine Computer Unit 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser M/T 2.4L | P05033427AG work?

it’s the same engine and transmission and the ecm looks identical and even the plugs are the same. I just have no clue if it would work after it was flashed

Because there are a lot of differences between the two platforms. Mark will know for sure, but I’ll be shocked if it works. Mark is the PCM guru, so I’ll wait until he chimes in.

2005–06 were two disastrous years for Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep electronics.

Chrysler engineers smacked the ecm and tcm together to form the pcm and it has failed on several of their vehicles including the cruiser.

My tech has not tried programming a PT Cruiser PCM for a Jeep. His thoughts are the circuitry is different and the gauges will not work amongst other things.

After money spent on an unknown pcm, programming, removing skim and shipping it makes you reaize how quickly the money adds up on something that is an unknown.

I just purchased the 06 2.4L turbo below to try to keep them going...The same issues as the 05-06 TJ plague the Cruiser and we are working diligently to solve.

The PCM that we use in our 2.4L Wrangler will fix your issues 100%. You can call or email me and I will work with you.
