What did you do to your TJ today?

How do you like those Fuel wheels? I'm having a hard time deciding between those and the Methods, I have Methods on my F250 and love them but I know nothing about the Fuels
I picked them for the style but also because I knew exactly what I was getting as far as backspace and offset because when I bought my other Jeep it had Fuel wheels in the exact same size, just different design. I am very happy with my choice of wheels but I have also seen some methods that I really like. I sold the Jeep on the left in this picture but those are the wheels it had on it when I bought it.

So I used to have a Tablet in the dash - cut in to the dash, bluetooth everything from ignition to underbody lights and music, maps offroad and on, email for work, etc — served me faithfully for years, but now I want to upgrade

I want to upgrade it to this:

i dunno if I can pull it off! But we'll see!!
do you have any pics of the before install without the dash all torn apart? I have an old IPAD that was used very little that I was looking to do something like this a few months ago. The IPAD is almost worthless as they stopped supporting that version. I barely used it and paid over 600 for it. Makes me mad but that is for another thread. Anyway I have it in my jeep locked in the center consul and just use it as a MP3 player right now. Would like to get more use out of it.

That's Apple for you, if its more than about 2 years old, they don't even want to talk to you. I'm retired IT, this crap drove me nuts! If they were ANYBODY but Apple, they'd be laughed out of business for all kinds of stupid stuff they pull - but because they *are* Apple, its a Good Thing (tm). I got over "computer religion" decades ago...

Damn I wish I knew about these when I installed my rear shocks.
I ran into the same thing when I changed out my rear shocks 5 or 6 years ago. luckily my jeep had a 1" body lift. I was able to unbolt the body and jack the back up just enough to get in with a small grinder.
I fabbed up my own mounting nuts.
I came across those a week or so later.

I will be doing mine in the very near future, so I saved the link for this video on recovering from this issue:
So where my rear shocks connect it looks like someone cut an arch to access the bolts in the body. Still looks very snug, not sure if that is supposed to be there or not?

My back has been bothering me - hopefully tonite's dance class will wring it out, it usually does. However, I got the cleaned, inspected, and repainted motor end of the M8000 re-assembled, then pulled the drum. The OP had spooled on a "Used but good" wire rope. Not exactly. I took it off to inspect as well as to repaint the drum. About 18 or 20 feet down the line I found that it had been hockled at one point. Uh, no. So I do I re-terminate and have a 60 foot line, or do I just bite the bullet and get the synthetic I want anyway. Mulled that over for about 10, maybe 15 microseconds, then the wire rope went into the recycle bin after I took the brand new hook off the end of it!

I haven't pulled the brake out yet, but the spacing on the lugs inside looks good.

Might as well get the synthetic.

Have a hose clamp ready to "replace" the drum so the brake doesn't fall apart. I've heard they're very difficult to reassemble properly.
