Swapping a Sahara interior into my LJ

I'm a big fan of the Spice/Green interiors of the early TJ Sahara's. Did they ever make an LJ with that pattern?
Has anyone ever attempted to switch all of the black interior of a later model jeep to the tan? How much is compatible?

I'd really like to have an LJ with that pattern

There was never and LJ Sahara. They went from spice to Khaki in 03 and you can find LJs with a Khaki interior. If that's, not close enough for you the Radio and radio bezel are different but the rest of the interior is interchangeable to my knowledge.

edit- The carpet ( obivously ) from a Tj would not fit in a Lj, you would also need to change the rear seat mounts.

Not true. There was a Sahara Rubicon in 2005, but all 1000 were khaki colored, including the interior.

Old post but no, Sahara is a trim level in 03-06 and it is the Khaki interior.

I've been kicking around the idea of building a LJ in to an older style green sahara with the tan roof and green / tan seats. You'd have to buy two Jeeps and swap the interiors over.

I am fully aware that the Sahara was a trim level.
If you look a little closer you'll see the "In theatres April 8, 2005" under Sahara title as well as the paramount logo at the bottom. That's because the Jeep is associated with the movie 2005 film "Sahara" starring Matthew McConaughey. The Sahara nameplate on this Jeep has nothing to do with the Sahara trim level that was discontinued a year prior in 2004.
It is a movie edition jeep comparable the Tomb Raider Edition in 2003.

In 03 the rubicon was available with a khaki interior just like the Sahara, albeit with a different seat pattern. The rubihara has its own unique 2 tone seats, therefore the interior of a rubhiara shares about as much with a Sahara as it does with a Rubicon. The Saharas from 03-04 that you reference had body-coloured flares, the rubihara may have painted flares, but obviously does not have Sahara body-coloured flares.

You didn't specify what exactly your "no' was referring to specifically.
So I will reiterate my point
It is not a Sahara trim in any shape or form. It's a Sahara movie edition jeep based on a Rubicon.

Is there a difference between the normal carpet that you would find in a sport vs a Sahara. I have a white sport with a spice top and I want to do a Sahara interior swap. I know the roll bar pads are matching tan vs. the black and that they have the green seats. Is there anything else special about the Sahara's?
