I am thinking about installing some Savvy tail lights on my TJR but have a couple of concerns. I am running Genright Alum corner armor, and on the driver side I have a Teraflex CB antenna mount. On the passenger side I have the Morryde Tailgate Reinforcement Kit, so neither side is stock. Are these mods going to cause problems of make it to difficult to install the Savvy lights ?

Thanks

Can we get a picture from the passenger side, towards the side of the light? Since the savvy light sits flush to the tub, I don’t think it will work with that tire carrier.

Savvy's tail lights are surface mounted, you'll have no problem. This is my previous TJ.

Edit: This shows they have plenty of passenger-side tire carrier bracket clearance on my current TJ where you asked about above. My carrier bracket extends down further than yours does.

What flasher (or any other modification) is needed to run those taillights? And does the left side light have a liscense plate lamp too, or is a separate light needed with the Savey taillights?

You don't need the tub reinforcement plate the tail light sits on if you have corner armor. Corner armor performs the same function only better since it has more length with the radius bend acting as a stiffener.

Will the tail lights sit in the same hole? Here’s a picture of mine while installing OR Fab tire carrier. I sold the tire carrier because I didn’t want to re-engineer the corner armor and tail light configuration. I assume that’s what you are trying to avoid.

You will need to clearance the Morryde reinforcement plate but it isn't that hard.

EDIT: Saw Blaine's post above - sounds like you don't need to do this.

Hell I wish I would have know this before spending hours making an alum spacer for the tailgate to make it sit flush. :ROFLMAO:

Has anyone used these lights with the Terraflex CB mount ?
Piece of 2 x 2 x 3/16" aluminum angle 1.5" long with two holes to mount it above the tail light, a BNC to PL-259 connector and a 1/2" hole for the antenna and you can toss that Tera crap.
