I'm sure the Lawyer(s) got a significant amount of that 25K, Lawyers are not cheap.

Speaking of Lawyers, 7 years ago I was in a room with a bunch of lawyers waiting for a deposition. One of the lawyers told me he had a female client whose car was totaled by a drunk, and was still waiting for the insurance company to pay. He told me this drunk hit seven cars, knocked down mail boxes ripped up lawns etc. When the police showed up he was on the ground leaning on his tire of his truck drinking from a whiskey bottle saying I did it.
He said the insurance company paid for the six cars but not hers because her car was parked facing the wrong way. Whatever excuse they can find to push it to the next quarter is money for them. He said by the time she gets anything his bill will take whatever they pay.
That started the ball rolling, all the lawyers took turns telling stories. Whenever I see a car parked facing the wrong way in front of a house I think of that story.

This is so sad to hear , I once lost a car because they took it to a storage yard and it stay there for a while until the insurance company settled the claim but I end up losing car because of the storage fees.... my advice get it out of there quick before you can't save it.
Yup, insurance companies will do whatever they can to pay out the least amount of money necessary, and drag their feet as much as possible.
Some of the claims I had would require a police report due to the stories from both sides being way off from each other, and no video or photo evidence. I would always tell the insureds to drive to the police dept themselves and send me the report. For some reason if the insurance company requested the report, it wouldn't end up in my hands for up to 3 months.
The best thing anyone can do if they are in an accident is be your own advocate, know your policy well (like actually read the thing), and keep pushing them. Don't be irate as that gets you nowhere, but do your research, know what your vehicle is worth, and have examples of similar recently sold vehicle values to back up your claims.
I wonder what kind of flares those are? They look like they might be Rubicon/Sahara width and are aftermarket.
I already know I'm probably going to color match them like a Sahara
