Should I buy a used hard top?

Hi, the jeep I just bought came with only a soft top. I plan on using my jeep during the winter. Do you think I need a hard top? Found this one on a used site around by me, wondering if it's worth it or if the soft top will due? I live in Wisconsin. Picture below. Thanks

The glass slider doors alone are more than $300.00 without the hardtop. Even needing minor repairs, this is a killer deal if you need a hardtop.

Come January you'll be glad you had it.

For $300 you can't go wrong. They're kind of a pain to install & remove but it's not bad with two strong adults. I managed to remove & replace mine on my back doing a turtle-walk but I wouldn't recommend it lol.

I absolutely love my hard top. So much so, that I ditched my soft top in favor of it.

A hard top in good condition goes for $1200-$1500 in my parts. Get that puppy! It's a steal.

Now you're making things difficult . Odds are not good you'll get the rear defroster or wiper working. It takes a special wiring harness with a relay that I don't believe is sold any more. I bought my hard top later and had to buy the wiring harness separately to make it work, wiring it without that wiring harness kit wouldn't be easy. Not to mention the wiring kit includes a timer to shut the defroster off so it doesn't melt on the glass from being on too long.

And when I asked if the wiring harness was included he said it's all wired and included?

If its a MOPAR hardtop the windows can't slide without heavy modification, more than likely its what I stated above.

The wiring harness is not THAT difficult and can be purchased/sourced with little difficulty.

So if I don't have half doors for my hard top the glass slider doors will do me no good? Will this hardtop work with my stock doors and windows? Here's a pic of the windows

This hardtop will work with factory hard doors, half doors and uppers, tube doors ect. The hardtop will not affect your door choice.

Not nearly as easily as a soft top. It can be removed yes, just requires a good socket set to pull the glass and hinge combo off the hard top and disconnecting the hardware for the defrost and the windshield wiper motor. Its not something that is usually seen as "worth it", but to each their own.
