Fire bug

Yah, I thought of that. I'll talk to my relatives in CO or AZ and see if anyone can get it in those states.
I had a situation where I needed to buy something for a home improvement project. Found what I needed, filled out the rather involved order form (as its custom made), and only THEN did they tell me I couldn't buy it in my state. Seems this company had an exclusive agreement with Home Depot in several states. The trouble was, Home Depot only sold ONE of this company's products, and it wasn't the one I needed, yet I couldn't buy it even though Home Depot didn't sell it. Complete stupidity. So I had it shipped to my aunt in another state and she re-shipped it to me...

Ok, made it to the weekend. The notice was posted on the door on Tuesday. He left it there even though he did go up and try to read it without actually touching it. LOL Thursday his Mom and him showed up. He went in the house and she went up on the porch and took the notice off and read it. I thought for sure we were in for it. Then he came back out and went to the back of her car and pulled out two huge suitcases with wheels on them and rolled those in the house. Then they went out and stood by the car for a long time. Pretty soon they come walking back to the house with what I thought was a duffle bag. Turns out it was an insulated bag. He carried it back out full of food, and put it in her car. Then he carried a plastic tote full of food out. I was getting pretty excited. :D

Hubby had to go to the tow yard to clean the offices, he does this as a side job. Well, Gary the step dad happened to be there. I guess Danny had told them about the notice and said he was going to move out. Gary told Bob that they bought Danny suit cases with wheels so he could pull them around with him. LOL What a great set of parents. "Here son, here are some suit cases so you can have clothes while you are out in the street". You know, that is better then helping him find a place to stay. LOL

Anyway, supposedly they are going to try to get his stuff out this weekend. They said Danny said he would be out by 6am on Monday. (That is the time and day the notice say's he has to be out by). Bob and their other son Darryl both said, "yah, he has said that before". LOL In fact, he has said that about 4 times now. Each time he changes his mind and decides not to leave.

Gary was trying to see if anyone at the yard wanted to buy Danny's appliances. Bob told him that he would take the appliances and 2500 dollars for lew (sp) of the attorney fees. Gary and Linda are going to think about that and let us know.

We have a feeling that it is still going to take the Sheriff kicking him out come Monday, but if he does leave before that, we still plan on having the Sheriff come and we still plan on holding any belongings he leaves behind for the 15 days we have to hold it for.

Just so excited that this is almost over and we will finally have our house back. :D

I will post one final post next week to let you all know how it goes with the Sheriff.

Ok, I know I said I was only going to post one more time, but I have to tell you all, today his Mom, Step Dad, and Brother all showed up to start moving him. They were actually waiting on some people that the Step Dad hired to help move him, but they never showed up. They ended up putting all of the sheds contents and some of the stuff he had bagged up in trash bags, into the Step Dads truck. It was so funny to watch because Danny didn't carry one thing out. His brother and even the Step Dad (who can barely walk) carried stuff out. Oh, Danny did help lift the lawn mower in the back and did carry a couple jackets out. That was it, didn't help move anything else.

It was kind of to bad the guys he hired didn't show up though. The family was only able to get one load done today. I'm hoping those guys will show up tomorrow. Would like to see the rest of the stuff go out so we don't have to deal with them next week.

Tomorrow is another day. :D

He is out!! He actually got out on Sunday evening when his parents picked up the last load of stuff they were taking. The Mom called that night and told us he was out and she had the keys. We decided to wait till Monday to go in. I went through my camera recordings of that night, on Monday morning, to see if he had come back sometime during the night, and he didn't. We went in at about 8am on Monday to see what we were in for.

This is what we found.

This is where the stove is supposed to sit.

Here is where the stove was sitting. He had it pulled as far has the gas line would reach, from the wall. The refrigerator was also pulled out as far as it would go too. The hose for the ice maker was pulled out of the hole in the wall and ran through the door opening to the hot water heater. Strange stuff I tell you.

While packing up his things, I lucked out and found the faces for the drawers, so luckily we will be able to reattach those, but obviously will have to replace the counter top.

This was the medicine cabinet that was on the wall when we lived in the house. Guess he decided it was better on the ground.

He obviously didn't flush the toilet too easily. Luckily there was no crap in it, so it will be salvageable.

He tore the bathroom door off, after putting a few holes in it too.

We also figured out why he had such a hard time with the front door. He must have tore it off at one time too, and tried to put it back on the hinges with 16 penny nails. They go all the way through the door. Needless to say, the door that has been on that house probably since it was built, is now destroyed. The flooring is going to have to be replaces not only because he put nicks in several places, but also because he watered the house so much that the subfloor is super soft from about the entrance to about the middle of the living room. He also must have let the washing machine or something leak, as there is also a soft spot in the laundry/kitchen area.

Needless to say, my son won't be moving in anytime soon. We figure since we need to replace all the flooring, we will clean the walls first. That way we won't have to worry about getting it wet. We will throw down towels and blankets to catch some of the water. Then we can pull the flooring up so hubby can fix the subfloor. Then patch the walls and retexture the whole house and repaint. We have our work cut out. Luckily I only have 1 more night to work and then I'll be on vacation for a week. :D

The part that sucks, is we didn't get to see the Sheriff kick him out. Guess even though he told his Step Dad, that he knew how to take down the officers, he decided not to do it. LOL 4 officers showed up on Tuesday and just took a look at the house and posted a notice in the window. Kind of boring. LOL

I did have to laugh out loud at the Step Dad on Monday though. He said that Danny came by their house at 6am in the morning. I told him (while I was laughing) "that's great, you get to deal with him now". LOL Oh, we found out from the mutual friend that is storing Danny's stuff for 6 months, that Danny told his Mom to just drop him off on Watt Ave. That is what she did. We figure he is going to stick around close to her house since that is where the money is. Step Dad told us he is going to put a lock on his gate. LOL

The End! :D

Speaking of mental issues...So many young people today (including myself) struggle with so much anxiety and overthinking constantly(amongst so many other things); it is degrading. Mental health awareness is growing and becoming more socially acceptable which is great, it needs to be.

Before I even turned 20, I had 2 dear friends end their lives abruptly. Please, listen, and say something if you're concerned about someone. Even The happiest people can be hiding the worst pain.

Damn, that house is a good candidate for one of those HGTV shows

Looks like he just completely trashed the place.

What's the plan again? Fix it up and sell it, rent it out, etc.?

My mom rented out one of her homes for a while (before selling it) and said she will never, ever again be a landlord. I don't blame her.

We're going to let my son live in it. Won't rent to anyone else. If he moves out, it will become a big she shed. LOL

Damn, he did trash the place! But at least he’s out and all that stress is GONE!

Now you can get back to normal. And once you get the place cleaned up, it’ll only be a memory. 😸
