I read some older threads about this, and seems to be a old thing and they stopped doing this when the company changed hands.

Once ET was purchased by Turn 5 Inc the discount went away. It was technically for the other Wrangler forum but that doesn't matter anymore.

Also worth noting is that the "Barricade" in-house brand for Extreme Terrain is just re-branded Smittybilt garbage, literally.
I've only been Jeeping again since 2018 and haven't bought anything from Extreme Terrain. IIRC it's because anything I was looking for was considerably more expensive through them.
When I first saw this thread title I was hoping the discount brought their prices below the competition. Since no discount exists I figured I should double check to see if they are as high as I thought they were. I googled "jeep tj door handle". I guess I wasn't wrong. Most of the unknown brands from various places are selling from $18.00 to $24.00 plus shipping. A couple Omix-ADA and Crown Automotive are in the same price range.
I searched a couple more times but no matter what, the very first ad to show up was Extreme Terrain's unknown brand at $32.99 plus shipping. I did scroll down a ways and found their OPR brand for $23.99 but I don't think that's what they'd prefer you buy from them. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that their higher priced unknown brand is the OPR brand. I bet crap like that is done by more companies selling parts than just them.

Someone on this forum called it capitalism, what Collins Brothers Jeeps does. They put a Jeep on their website and then mark the price up by 200%. Someone will over pay for it.
Extreme Terrain used to have the best prices out there. I purchased my Morryde Exogate for $300 which included their former 6% discount.
Now Turn 5 owns them and needs to make money so they now upcharge, and pay Google to get their ads on top. So Google and Turn 5 took the savings away from the consumer, which is capitalism.
I have not purchased a single item from Extreme Terrain since the Turn 5 takeover, and will never purchae an item from them.
In short they went from an enthusiast company to a capitalist company.
I hate to break it to you, but every company you buy from is a capitalist company. Every company exists to make money, despite whatever reservations you have about their business model.
Capitalism is not a dirty or illegal word, "Rape" however is. Taking advantage of customers is not how it is done. If you cannot make a fair profit from your products, then you should (ethically) move on to something you can make a fair profit from. Capitalism is how we survive. This "give me everything for free" crap has got to stop or it is the end of America.
Who do you recommend to order parts from? After I purchased my TJ, being a first time Jeep owner, I bought my wheels from ET. I searched and found Quadratec also. I’d prefer to get parts from experienced owners.
It is a lot like sex, you don't have to let them in. Close your legs till you find the right match.
I've used Q-tec, Morris 4x4 and ET when they have decent deals. Usually I check out Amazon and Ebay for better prices.

I believe Hailey who operates the @quadratec account on the forum said that if she was contacted before an order is placed she may be able to provide a discount for forum members on some products. Well said...what is erroneously considered capitalism by lots of people, and a great current real world example is how some people/firms purchased all of the NVIDIA graphic cards to resell for two times the manufacturer's cost. Adding no value to the product, delivery or any facet, but charging for being the first to purchase, ruins the purpose of capitalism. In fact, these people then void warranties and make the product less valuable by trying to flip for a quick buck.
I use this forum and Google to locate vendors. I also cross check the Vendor's web-site with the Manufacture's web-site to ensure they are an authorized reseller of the part I am looking to purchase (lots of scams these days that void warranties). I have purchased from all of the mentioned vendors, some have better prices than others. Morris offers 10% off orders over $300 (or $400 depending on the day) and price match, so big ticket items can be bought through them. Also, look for sales/deals/discounts around holiday seasons.

No doubt about it. Similar to products labeled for a house brand that are actually manufactured by the same ‘name’ brand co. next to it for 25% or more.
Look at, for example, protein supplement brands.
Muscle Pharm! Why Arnold walked away from that company...selling the second nd hand stuff for premium prices. It's so hard for the consumer to know what they are buying these days.
