What did you do to your TJ today?

It's not what I did to the TJ, but what I did for the TJ.
Recently moved into my house in FL, but accidentally left my jack/jack stands at my old residence after making a quick EXIT from CA before the "lame duck smuck" took power.
Ordered an Arcan 3 ton aluminum hybrid quick pump jack and two 6 ton jackstands; they both arrived today thanks to the driver of the brown truck.
Need them to replace the transmission mount and install the transfercase skidplate spacers to do away with rear ds vibes.

Took a wheeling trip in southern Utah in January, but have been crazy busy at work since so no time to post pictures or work on the Jeep.

Finally had a breather last weekend, installed wider fender flares. The rooster tail and spray was fun, but messy and made opening the windows a terrible idea. Problem solved.

They look much better than the old, sun-bleached ones too. Before:

Blinker fluid change is very important. I use a new poly-synthetic blend.
No, no no! Synthetic blinker fluid runs hotter than OEM spec. The chemical makeup is critical, although many run pure H2O, experts in the know recommend D20 instead!

Curious where you ordered from?

Who did you go with for the wider flares and how wide did you go?

How wide are those? What brand?

I went with Crown flares, the wider 6" version: Crown Automotive 55254918K7-6 Fender Flare Kit

They're factory-look with a wider profile. Took a few hours for removal and reinstallation. Some of the mounting screws go into rivnuts, make sure you blast those with penetrating oil in advance.
how do they look/feel compared to the factory ones? Shame crown doesn't make a Rubicon width flare..

I was pretty impressed with them. They're solid. They look and feel just like the factory ones I removed - just newer (and a bit wider).

They're just as strong as factory, very little give even being a little wider.

For my purposes - keeping crap out of the Jeep when windows are down or soft-top is open - they're perfect at a great price.

I thought about doing that for the same reason, but I don't think I could deal with the square boxy look. My 10" wide wheels make it even worse. I didn't like my 6" wide flat flares look either.

Brown truck brought me some new gifts. Two pairs of US Jacks - made in the USA! And this beauty:

Then the Jeep took advantage of the new jack stands:

I then fought with EVERY bolt on the rear suspension that I attempted to remove. Very different experience than the front! Still have half of the suspension bolts to go that I'll be cutting and grinding out. Clearly didn't use the antisieze last time i had the rear apart.

Got the air hammer bit stuck too working on the track bar... It'll live there until i get the axle lower to clear the gas tank...
