Beadlock wheel brand??

Looking at purchasing a set of beadlocks tomorrow off of marketplace. Seller say they are weld sr-2 beadlocks. Wheels are 15x10x4.5. I can’t find anything on the google that looks like them... anybody have a clue? They almost look like the older walker evans but they have the bolts on the inner hub of the wheel. Tia for your help

Clean up the back of the wheels. There should be some info cast into the wheels and may give more clue when you're researching through google.

Are you specifically wanting to run a 10" wheel? What's the backspacing?
 
Not specifically, any reason you seen an issue with rubbing a 10 wide? Backspacing is 3.5
Unless you're running a tire wider than 12.5", you'll want to stick with a 8 to 8.5"" wheel. You can run a wider wheel, but this pushes the sidewall out more.

Is that really a problem on a beadlock though?

I know plenty of guys that prefer a 9-10" wide beadlock on 12.5-13.5" wide tires. Their thought process is that it keeps a flatter tread-profile and "helps with the outside edge rolling under and getting pinched/sliced" (quoted as best I could from a local guy I spoke with at a Coffee & Crawler M&G not too long ago).

That’s my thought process I plan on running a 12.5 wide tire on them.

If it's primarily a wheeler maybe, but it would also lower the tire height, and have more rolling resistance, along with a tendency to hydroplane more. I've run a 10 inch wheel with 12.5 inch wide tire and hated it. Scared the crap out of me in the rain and followed ruts in the road. Some don't mind, so it's a personal choice in the end.

Well we are talking about beadlocks here, so I'm assuming it's primary purpose is a wheeler :)

But the same tire on an 8" wheel didn't?? I'm having a hard time seeing how a slightly wider wheel would so adversely affect on-road performance and have never experienced anything like this in my life (with the disclosure being that I've never tested this empirically).

I was curious so I went out to my Jeep and measured my 35" x 12.5" MTR which are currently on 10" wide beadlocks and got 34.5". This almost exactly matches the measurement of the 35" x 12.5" MTR I ran on my YJ with 8" wide aluminum wheels (34.6"). I would think that the steel belts are more responsible for the diameter than a slight wheel width difference.

Tire Rack says that the industry rule of thumb is that for every 0.5" of rim width, the tire section width changes 0.20" on a metric-tire. Based on your example and if we assume that rule of thumb applies, a ~0.80" wider tire (~0.40" or ~3.2% per side) so drastically changing the handling of a tire is totally not something I would expect!
 
They look like old Walker Evans wheels to me. This is one of my WE wheels. Personally I'd rather have an 8" wide wheel. Ha, I just noticed my dog had marked his territory before I took this. 🤣
