Not to be that guy, but could I run 33" tires with a 2" lift + 1.25" body lift?

I'm trying to keep my Fox Shocks which are for a 0-2" Lift which is why I'm trying to keep to a 2" Spring Lift.
I am also running 0 - 2 inch Fox Shocks on 2 inch Tera Flex springs that netted me 2.5 inches of lift over stock with no issues. Ranchos apparently can do the same so it looks like shock manufacturers expect some variance here.

1.25" body plus 2.5" spring is the bare minimum for 33s. If the shocks are the right length.

I hear ya

I'd do some suspension cycling and measure the shocks compressed length, etc., then assess from there.
Yeah I'll need to do that for sure, with my stock suspension I haven't worried about that yet.

But, but, but...LCoG!
☝️Kind of the look I'm going for as well for my TJ.

Actually that is the kind of feedback I was hoping to get! So a 2" spring might net me 2.5" of lift which with my 1.25" body lift would put me at around 3.75" of overall lift. I think that would work.

So the next rabbit hole to go down is bump stops which I've never looked into. Then the next part of the equation is figuring out gearing, with my diesel and 6-speed automatic I think 4.10 gears should work out just fine, but I need to check and verify my cruising speeds.

So many calculations to figure out . . .

285/75/16 on OME 2” lift and 1.25” savvy BL

I did the ultimate lift from DPG off-road which I believe is advertised at a 2.5” lift with the 1.25” bl.

after looking at my springs they are a 2” lift OME light load spring and I didn’t measure so I’m not sure how much total lift I got. No issues as far as rubbing...I do have spacers on the wheels.

That's a good looking setup, I wonder if I'll need spacers for 10.5" wide tires, I would prefer to not run spacers if possible, even if that means going with another set of wheels than I was planning on running.

I did fine without spacers, I just liked the wider stance...i rubbed a tiny bit on the control arms without the spacers but could’ve adjusted the stops to solve that if wanted

5.25 backspacing on factory ravines. Rubicon's with the Moab wheel got slightly less backspacing at 5".

Gotcha, so maybe I need to look at the aftermarket like these wheels:

It's a 15x8 with a 4.0" back spacing. I believe they also have a 4.5" back spacing as well, any thoughts on which would be better?

Thanks

I ran 33x10.5 KO2s on Ravines with and without spacers on my last LJ with a 2.5” lift and no BL. Certainly no issues connected, though I never disco’d. I did have to add a washer to the steering stops without the spacers, and I added Rubicon flares after I added the spacers.

This is a long shot, but do you have photos of your LJ with and without spacers running the 33x10.5? I’m trying to make my mind up to keep or ditch spacers, same tire, same rim and also a LJ..
