Need opinions on this TJ

Have you had it from new?
Do you drive it hard or easy?
You should put up your maintenance list and schedule.
I would love to get 300.000 but I think mine will be toast before 150,000.

I have had it from new.
I don't wheel like the majority of the folks here-I am more of an overlander, with kayaks and camping gear and dog(s) and skis and whisky. Certainly you can't get to my favorite spots without a Jeep. Both of my kids have learned to drive it, and both have daily driven it until they went off to uni. Each have used it and taught several of their friends to drive stick, so I can say for sure it hasn't been driven easy. Not to mention the multiple deer strikes and run-ins with various trees and rocks over the years.

I change the oil and oil filter every 4 months, regardless of mileage (10W 30 natural oil), flush the coolant about every 2 years, flush the brakes at the same time as the coolant, new air filter every January first, and I also check the distributor cap and rotor and plugs at every oil change and then perform a tune-up when it is obviously needed. I stick to the 30k mile mark for drivetrain oil changes.

I think what has helped the engine most is the regular driving, year round, and the fact that it isn't babied at all, except for it's residence in the garage. The few times I have owned cars that were only driven occasionally, those cars were absolutely problematic.

i pulled the trigger on the Jeep. It definitely needs some new fluids etc. i look forward to taking care of it like you do.

Glad I sent a mechanic before going to get it. Tiny crack in radiator and rear locker wouldnt engage. How much to fix a rear locker. I assume would start with air pump.

Start with the air hoses first. I spliced my hose a couple of times before re plumbing with quality vacuum hose.
