Cheaper it may be, the spidertrax has the smallest footprint. Honestly, I am wide open right now as far as front axle options go.Why a prorock over rockjock? Fusion 4x4 does fab housing also I noticed. Might be a bit cheaper than spider

Spidertrax will sell you all the parts to build a complete axle or an assembly with ends welded, the rest needs to be fab’d and built in respects to your individual build specs.do they sell assemblies or is it all a la carte?
seems like your 5$ away from planetary axles by the time you set up a pair of these.
I was looking at their outer C's would be kind of sweet for hybrid 44 idea I've wanted to do. The only issue looks like brake adapters. They only do the wildwood calipers right? Blaine was saying the wildwoods are not designed to work with a booster.Spidertrax will sell you all the parts to build a complete axle or an assembly with ends welded, the rest needs to be fab’d and built in respects to your individual build specs.
There are shops like Miller Motorsports or Jimmy’s 4x4 who could build you a Spidertrax to your full specs.
i kick myself in the ass every day for not lopping the JK C's and building it out with Dana 60 ends and 35 spline inners.I was looking at their outer C's would be kind of sweet for hybrid 44 idea I've wanted to do. Does anyone make a 44 center that accepts 3.5” tubes?I was looking at their outer C's would be kind of sweet for hybrid 44 idea I've wanted to do.
I recently saw one of the Ultra4 guys use dodge brake calipers on the Spidertrax stuff up front, now of course, I cant find it.They only do the wildwood calipers right?
I believe the Wilwoods are built for 1000psi, so you would think a booster would pair with it well.Blaine was saying the wildwoods are not designed to work with a booster.
More later but the average TJ booster is capable of 13-1400 psi and I have measured them as high as 1700.Does anyone make a 44 center that accepts 3.5” tubes?

But there are plenty of folks using manual brakes and hydro with their Wilwoods.
If @mrblaine dropped the knowledge it would be dumb to ignore or doubt. He has more time and knowledge in brakes than anyone out there. That fact, I would never doubt or turn a cheek too.

What about a fusion dana 60 did you consider them? What's the price on the Dana builder housing? The only reason I have yet to pull the trigger on a front Spidertrax axle with their ultimate steering inner and outer knuckles is the bearing; it isnt sealed.
Being that I wheel down south, water and mud are precedent. I think I would rather have a sealed bearing, but haven't completely ruled out a full Spidertrax front axle build.
So my options have expanded to say the least.
East Coast Gear Supply builds bare tube high pinion 60’s that use the Dana Ultimate 60 center section and I really like the genuine engineered Dana/Spicer stuff.
The Dana Ultimate 60 uses 3.5” or 4” tubes and utilizes a true 10” gear from the Dana Super 60 that they designed and engineered for the Ford Super Duty.
In 2018 Dana developed and prototyped a 1550 sized kingpin knuckle for their aftermarket 60’s. This year at Easter Jeep Safari 2021, Dana finally released their 1550 (SPL-70) kingpin knuckles for the Ultimate 60 to the masses. But it’s not my cup of tea. (Lacks shear option) I am glad to see another 1550 kingpin offering hit the market.
So my options are:
- Spidertrax 3.5” chromoly bare tube front axle housing with Reid’s Super Kingpin inners and outers. (Supports 40 spline outers that use a massive 2” axle shaft and 05+ Super Duty Unit Bearings.
- Spidertrax 3.5” chromoly bare tube axle with Spidertrax Ultimate inner and outer knuckles with their chromoly gussets and skids.
- ECGS Dana Ultimate 60 center section with 4” bare tubes and Reid Super Kingpin inner and outer knuckles.

They use the same Dana Ultimate 60 center from Dana just like ECGS. I think it’s $100 cheaper if choosing Fusion. What about a fusion dana 60 did you consider them? What's the price on the Dana builder housing?
Dana sells their center with pressed in tubes and the builder cuts it down to customer spec. What's the price on the Dana builder housing?
Ah interesting, when I was talking to the fusion guys they implied it was their casting design, didn't realize it was Dana. They use the same Dana Ultimate 60 center from Dana just like ECGS. I think it’s $100 cheaper if choosing Fusion.
By choosing ECGS, I can pick it up in person and avoid freight charges.

I’m not sure what it cost from Dana directly as I dont have a Dana sales account.
I’m 99% confident it’s Dana’s Ultimate 60 center.Ah interesting, when I was talking to the fusion guys they implied it was their casting design, didn't realize it was Dana.
Dana Part # 10034535What's the price on the Dana builder housing?
that super 60 housing is $995, what is different ? you could finish those 3.5" tubes any way you wanted. Thanks, that fusion bare housing is listed at $1300 for a Dana 60 builder housing (3.5"), i got a Carbon/Currie quote for JK44 housing for $1600 with no C's. I'm still trying to figure out my long-term plan (3") leaning toward 44 center section with the 60 outers.
