I keep hearing about Bartact seat covers from JK/JL buddies... are they just fancy AF or is there something special to them? I'd like to find a decent set for my LJ but most of them are waterproof, which means ball sweat goes up 300%!
Ha ! I put my top back on to run the A/C. Even with my short commute to work, I can sweat through my clothes.

I honestly haven’t sat in them before or thought about that. I’ve just heard a lot of good comments about them and they looked really nice in Moab. I’ll be sure to update the thread on the ball sweatiness factor though

Man I haven’t had the full doors on in probably a year or close to it. I can’t believe how quiet it is. Why the fuck did I drive to Moab without them, it’s so much nicer!
My next project I think is operation get rid of noises. I have several annoying ones I need to address:
I’m getting a popping sound from my UCF engine skid when I turn because I had to preload it into place to fit the mounting holes at the tcase skid. This will probably make no sense unless you have one but the leg is mounted on the backside of the mounting tab on the frame which makes it difficult to line up the holes on the tcase skid. I looked at the savvy skid in Moab and the leg is mounted on the front of the mounting tab. All I need to do is notch the leg a little bit to clear the nut on the tab and I should be able to mount it on the front and line up all the holes much nicer at the Tcase.
Other noises include:
Brake squeal
My muffler bangs the frame over large bumps because when I originally did my tummy tuck I cut the transmission exhaust hanger off and welded it back on in a neutral position. My welder sucked and my welding skills also sucked at the time so it broke off. I’ll reweld that on soon as well.
I’m also interested in noico sound deadening my jeep

@Midnight LJR says good things about the glass uppers on the halfdoors reducing noise. I'm also starting to think the jeep being more quite would be a good thing. I dont know if I'd go as far as sound deadening the tub but maybe a carpet and some deadening material near the tunnel.
It was amazing how luxurious @nicksjeep felt over mine with carpet. Lol
Full doors are the bees knees on long trips. It's a Jeep, but things can be done to make the interior more comfy. You're on the right track.

It is light. The full doors, however, weigh a ton!
It was 101* when we rolled in to Bakersfield last Wednesday! I'm used to triple digits in the summer, but not in the first week of May!
Glass uppers make a BIG difference, not as nice as full doors but way better than soft.

I am surprised to be hearing so many positive comments about having full doors and enclosure. I always preferred my hard top not just because of the A/C but the heater also in the winter. When it rains I am also dry and on dusty roads I can roll up the windows. I am always happy.
And yeah man your crazy for not at least having the bed rug in there it makes a big difference.
Someone recently mentioned that the noico deadening they added weighed in at 60 lbs. Can't remember the thread though
