What did you do to your TJ today?

The full size Bronco looks better than the sport, although the full size 2 door will probably look even better. I'm definitely not sold on them yet!
Watch the lite brite video with the fun haver bronco going up and down Hells gate. It’s pretty impressive. I wouldn’t rule one out.

Had a catalytic reinstalled, a new muffler and 2 new O2 sensors.

A previous owner had removed the catalytic, though they had a bung installed in the pipe back to the muffler, for the down stream sensor, so I did not get O2 related CELs. I just figured back to stock is better.

Muffler looked fine outside, but had a loose baffle inside that caused such a sheet metal vibration noise, especially under acceleration, that it was deafening. Now quiet as can be.

The O2 sensors? Well, I figured why have them working under there and not put in new ones, the NPK ones preferred here. I bought them in advance and took them in to be sure I got what I wanted.

Money well spent. Did I say how nice and quiet.

Put a new battery in my Garmin GPS. I purchased said GPS last year for $25, but the internal battery would only keep it on for a couple of minutes when the Jeep was shut off. Since I power it from the Jeep's electrical system, not really a problem - BUT - it would lose a programmed destination when the Jeep was shut off, and would even lose its ephemeris if left off for a couple or three days, making a re-start and satellite re-acquisition a lengthy process - and Garmins of all types tend to be slow at acquisitions anyway. So for an additional $10, a new battery was installed in it. Now charging off of my computer overnite.

That is the nicest bumper I have ever seen on a Jeep. Is it home made or a production?
Hey thanks, I really bought it because of the mileage and the overall bumper and light set up. Sure wasn’t for the condition of the lift....it was bad.

I think it may be early , American made Smittybilt, but I’m not sure...the front is cool and it all works together.

The swingaway arm is inbound so it doesn’t give a lot of leverage and swings on a greasable wheel bearing.

The inbound can works for me, and it has a hi lift jack mount feature I quit using and a cb antenna spot also.

The nerf bars are welded on.

I like the look for a TJ versus some of the newer angular stuff.

i’ve yet to see the same ones , bound to be out there. Seen some close.

The LED s were @Hog s idea on how to use flush mount with tubes. Pretty slick I thought, he’s creative.

i like the angled flat part of the front too. Good clearance. It’s been wheeled harder than you might believe.

Not today, but all in the last 2 weeks. Maybe I'm done for a while??
  • 33x10.5 KO2 tires, kept Ravine wheels.
  • Added 1 washer to steering stops, fixed slight rub on control arms.
  • 5.13 Gears installed
  • Speedometer gear replaced (43 tooth), speedo now 100% accurate!
  • JKS 1.25" body lift
  • Brown Dog 1" lift motor mounts

how do you like the 33x10.5 on the 5.13’s?

got mine on order.

So far so good. I've only been 100 miles, so still in the break-in period. Instead of the engine lugging at 65 mph, now it lugs at 45 with the new gearing. But overall I think it will be better than before. RPMs will probably be about 2850 at 70 mph.
