Replaced my fan clutch, holy shit my fan is so much quieter now. It no longer sounds like a 747 taking off at 2500 rpm, I had no idea what I was missing.

I used a trick that
@AMS417 posted a while ago to hold the pulley using a ratchet strap tied to the frame since I didn’t have a strap wrench and it worked pretty well.
I also almost had a bad time installing the new clutch because apparently the 18 ft lbs was too little for my torque wrench to pick up on and I must have over tightened the bolts because 2 snapped inside. Luckily the easy outs worked like they were supposed to for once (probably helps that it was brand new and not rusty).
Now I have to get used to this new absence of noise, it feels weird because I was used to shifting based on the noise of the fan and it’s hard to hear now. Might just need to get an exhaust to “help me shift better”
